One Voice - Aled Jones revisits his childhood

I'm almost glad Hayley's album isn't out right now. She'd have to compete with the likes of that! I would be very disgusted if that placed higher than Hayley's album... although I suppose her album won't qualify for the same charts anymore. But still, just the idea!!

He's emulating what Sarah Brightman did. Symphony, and then Winter Symphony. Except I think Sarah's albums were loads better than this one. Not that I've bothered to listen to either one, or ever will!

Now I like Aled and have seen him live a few times. I've even seen him kiss Hayley on stage! He said it was the only reason he came. But I'm not impressed with this idea.

My dad really likes Aled Jones, so I bought him this album (and he'll get the Christmas album for Christmas) and I've heard him play it A LOT recently so I'm beginning to question why I bought it LOL (and maybe hitting myself for giving him the Christmas one later on) but I must say I don't mind this version of Danny Boy- I don't know why but I like his younger voice for this song, I think blends really well with his 'current' voice on this song. I think I prefer higher voices for that song (no idea why, my mum said in this case it could be my hearing impairment and tinnitus LOL, which, strangely, this song seems to help to calm my tinnitus- well, makes it less annoying anyway).

But, yes singing with himself as it were is a bit of a strange idea. Not sure what I'll make of the Christmas album LOL.

Aled Jones was talking about "One Voice At Christmas" on BBC Radio London last night. His younger vocals have been taken from an album that was only released in Wales, recorded when he was twelve. He'll be 46 on 29th December!
