Well perhaps the time to spring isn't there yet. Perhaps that song should have been kept under wraps, it wasn't Hayley's decision to reveal it to the world at this time. We didn't ask her if she was ready for that, it just happened. I would not have revealed it if someone else hadn't done so first. I suppose you could argue that by performing it she was doing so, perhaps to give a taster of what is to come. Perhaps there are more great songs in the pipeline. Or perhaps they are yet to be written. We don't know. If you want my opinion, I think this show was a holding strategy. She gave us enough to keep us, her faithful fans, interested and hoping for more. She is not ready for the new album yet, she has had other concerns, and we certainly should not pressurise her. She has shown us enough to prove that our faith in her is justified. She is still the great artist that we always knew she was. But she takes things easier these days. She knows that she can overreach herself. She paces herself. And why not, she has time. She wants to be sure that what she does is right, and true to herself. And I applaud that. Take as long as you need Hayley, I shall still be here supporting you as long as I live.

Hmmm, I understand why it would be debatable if the new material in concern is in the form of studio recordings or album leaks. But aren't fan recordings of live concerts understood to spread? She's performing this song for the second time now, any artist would know it's likely to be recorded and shared there after. I just don't understand what the complication is, but whatever it is I'm sure you guys will come to the best conclusion.

Well, she sang the song in Taiwan, too, so wherever she goes in the near (however near that might be) future, the song isn't that private anymore. But we've heard it, and it is on twitter and FB. If you just do a search on Hayley's Dublin concert in FB, 2 people have shared it, that I could find. Since it's unlisted, I'd recommend immediately adding it to Favorites/Bookmarks! Here's what Frank said about the song on Twitter in December: I understand about having it in your head, because I listened to it at least a half hour before posting this, and the song is still "Echoing" in my head. Who will echo in my head? LOL It's Hayley and her new song, that's who!! Actually, I'll have to listen again to recall exactly how the verses sounded. A perfect excuse to listen to it again! It really is a wonderful, gorgeous song. Definitely the most emotional and powerful song she's ever written... that we know, of course! Since we heard most of it, missing the first verse isn't a big deal. I'm very pleased for the time being. Don't worry, Martin, I won't get too impatient anymore. I mean, I do still feel a little bit so, but since Hayley gave us a little bit of a timeline (still a little vague, of course) during the radio interview, I find it much easier to wait. Just having an idea of when to hope for it is all I really wanted. By the time of the interview, I was ready to believe and even accept that the album wasn't until next year. I was still slightly disappointed to hear that, but not really surprised.

I imagine this concert was a convenient invitation rather than part of a strategic plan? Perhaps Hayley saw the invitation as an opportunity to test reactions to her 'new' material and style and to guide her towards her true identity as an artist?
Finding her own special Muse is a longer term project, of which her loyal fans have been blessed to catch a glimpse. As you say, Martin, we owe her our patience.
But the guidance of skilled artistic advisors and ongoing strategic planning are essential to build the success she deserves, well in advance of the launch of her forthcoming album. A hit album is the sum of all its parts and many more.

So I listened to the whole song and I LOVE it!!
Also, I don't understand why there would be concerns about whether or not the song should be shared. If Hayley wanted to keep it under wraps, or low key, she shouldn't (or wouldn't) have performed it at least twice to rather large audiences. Of course word, and audio, of her new songs would get out! No new material in years gets people excited when something new is premiered.
So I just noticed the youtube video was removed. I was literally just going to share it with my grandma. Honestly, I don't understand the problem. Unless explicitly asked not to share or link it by Hayley's team, I don't see an issue. Seems like a lot of getting "worked up" to me.

I suppose the difference is, the audiences in Taiwan and Ireland who now have the song "echoing" in their heads, were paying patrons, so they bought their right to hear it. Of course, one of those patrons shared his recording, but there's a notice telling you to think twice before sharing it.

Hi everyone, There are some concerns about whether or not we should allow links to Hayley's new material, this is something we will be discussing among the staff but for the moment, I've removed anything that links directly to it. Dave Leaks of new material, if not overdone, can build ongoing publicity and interest. Certainly they've livened up the forum lately. Hayley's forthcoming album wouldn't really be up to much, if its overall success depended on keeping completely secret until launch one or two songs already performed at concert.

It's the standard Youtube notice they add to all unlisted videos if you click the 'share' button "This video is unlisted. Be considerate and think twice before sharing.". It indicates a degree of privacy, that's the idea anyway. As you can see from the Youtube uploader's comments below, he/she was also unsure whether or not to share it, as several of us are so thanks for all the comments.
We'll have a good think about it, it's a tricky one and I know we all want the best for Hayley, just give us a day or two to decide what to do, thanks all!
Here are the Youtube poster's comments:

Yes, I'm sure you all will determine the appropriate action in due time. I've been working on the song all day to clean up the recording a bit for my personal listening. Not a bad excuse, of course, to have it on repeat. Also, if anyone is interesed, I figured out all the chords for Echo and created a chord chart. I don't know if I should post is here, GuitarTabs, or what I should do with it. But, in the meantime, I've learned to play it on my guitar! -Taylor

Actually, all I clicked was the thumbs up button. The notice always comes up when you do that, too, because when you do, the social media share links come up automatically. I find it funny that the uploader says the song "needs to be shared"! Maybe you should take that into consideration in your deliberations! It also sounds a bit disconcerting to read "Hayley's been in the studio for years". That is true, although it's just 2 years. Which is a lot more than we expected, but his wording makes it sound like a lot more than that!

The YouTube poster uploaded the Who Wiil Echo My Heart video as 'Public' on Google+, so it's easily found and is available to anyone who wants it.

Here are the Youtube poster's comments: Cheers, Dave My thinking on the subject is that Hayley should release Greener Lands and Who will echo my heart (As a matter of urgency, sooner rather than later, NOW) on I-Chunes or similar DOWNLOAD platforms with some nice downloadable artwork, maybe even some of her own paintings or drawings.(Think Cohen or Joni Mitchell) I assume that is far less complicated than trying to release a cd single, pressing, printing and delivery of an in hand product. I know, I swore I would never agree to partake in the download route, but for this artist I would make an exception.

Oh drat. I saw that video posted on Twitter and because I've been busy I made a mental note to listen to it later tonight and now it's gone. I know a lot of singers who periodically do download only singles on Itunes - in order to release one off songs in between the gaps of albums. It works quite well, as it means that a release is possible without an entire album needing to be done. But I wouldn't expect it. It may well be another year until the album is eventually released. If ever?? Call me a worry wort, but I still have these lingering doubts that it will actually be released. Maybe I just have a funny vibe about things, and I do wonder... The YouTube poster uploaded the Who Wiil Echo My Heart video as 'Public' on Google+, so it's easily found and is available to anyone who wants it. UpdateOkay, after listening to the new song, it's changed my views and provided some more hope. That's a song of real quality that shows musical progression and that Hayley is in fact working towards something. I feel more hopeful now, I really do.

Yes Jillian! I was feeling bad that you missed your chance listening to it and was going to email you the video (which I had downloaded from youtube beforehand, foreseeing a takedown), because that one song is enough to clear all our doubts, like I said it's an ambitious song, signalling a very ambitious album. When I heard that song I just saw Hayley rising out of the ashes like a Phoenix, reborn. After a 1000 listens, I can strongly say that VERY few songs that I've heard in my lifetime have such an EPIC quality to it, and no other, Hayley song even, comes close to the sheer scale of this one. And in 2016 when popular music is literally garbage, and we don't hear distinct tunes and melodies anymore, this was a breath of fresh air. A very clear tune that's not just interesting at the chorus. I was able to sing the entire song after just 3 listens. I hope we get proper live versions of this song before the album gets released, I just want to watch her sing this!
