She was at the Union Chapel concert. I think she still follows Hayley on twitter. I was expecting her to be there and had a few words with her and her mother. They were both very pleasant. I have been following her recordings, mostly covers, on youtube and twitter they show constant improvement. Listened to a few of her recordings on YouTube. She is wonderful. Why is she not better known? Would love to hear her live. Where is she from? Don't think I've heard a better young singer since Hayley was that age. I think I'm a fan, already!

Yes, I think maybe she needs a thread of her own. Rutland, eh, England's smallest county. At one time it was part of Leicestershire. And I live in Leicester, so it is just down the road. I was in Oakham, Rutland's county town on the day Rutland celebrated it's independence from Leicestershire. So Katie is almost local. Hope I can get the chance to hear her, sounds like it could happen. I have already taken the liberty of posting links to her YouTube videos on the classical Crossover group on Facebook. This young lady could have a great future.

Hi all,
I have moved several very good posts about Katie Marshall into a new thread.
Very pleased to read that Jim has met Katie; hopefully there will be an opportunity to see her in concert in the near future.
I first learnt of Katie from Agne Giedraityte's ice bucket challenge, as Agne and Katie are of similar age.
Katie has such a strong yet gentle voice.
