For listener statistics have a look here Love the map I'm sure that with just a little encouragement Aled Jones might be partial to playing something.

Thanks Paul, I know which listener group I'm in! I've also heard that Classic FM attracts nearly three times as many listeners as BBC Radio 3 on a daily basis. I don't think I've ever heard Hayley on Radio 3, but I don't listen to it very often. Richard

Richard I'm not sure if I should be flattered, offended or insulted, I had to put it into Google translate, not sure if I should put one hand on one hip or both hands on both hips.

No Richard I don't think we'll ever hear Hayley on Radio 3, or any other CC artist for that matter, if indeed Hayley still is a crossover artist !? I put in a Hayley request to Classic FM some years ago for my mother's 80th birthday and Jane Jones didn't play it. Instead we got requests for bored housewives to help them get through their ironing and students to help them revise. I have not forgiven them for that !!

Thanks Richard, That's the effect I was trying to get with the quote button but failed to do.

Hello Paul! There was a simple typo with one of the square brackets, so I corrected it for you. Richard

Have a listen to Aled Jones next Sunday morning 7 to 10 am.
They don't make it easy, you do need to verify who you are and give your email and a phone number.

David Suchet has just played (11.30am) Pokarekare ana on classicfm. That's two Hayley numbers in as many days. Martin

Bill Turnbull just played "Quanta Quilia" on his Classicfm show. He was then very complimentary about Hayley's singing voice and her performance on this track in particular. 😁
Let's not forget though that this track was recorded for the Odyssey album back in 2006.

Really? I have it on my US-released Odyssey album, which was released in 2005... after the first UK release.

I find that no matter what song I request the presenter tends to overrule the listener. Trying to get them to move on from the famous hits is a hit and miss persuit. There are some songs I have never managed to get played, Here's to you from Paradiso is one I never heard on any radio station, yet I think it got airplay years ago as a Joan Baez hit. You take the risk of getting nothing at all played if you request the lesser known songs.
Well done if you got the request played Dave. Do you have listener numbers for this show, I think people who listen to classical or easy listening radio stations tend to be music buyers in one form or another CD, vinyl or downloaders.
