Classicfm has excelled itself today. This afternoon Anne-Marie Minhall played two early favourites from Hayley, namely Quanta Qualia (Odyssey) and of course, Pokarekare Ana (Pure). They still remember her!

That is good news Martin - and Scala Radio too, they accidentally excelled themselves yesterday! At the end of Jack Pepper's evening "Culture Bunker" show, he read out a potted bio of Joni Mitchell and announced her singing her composition Both Sides Now. But it was Hayley's cover of it! You can listen to his faux-pas followed by Joni... er Hayley ... here, planetradio.co.uk/scala-radio/player/80755743/ starting just after 1 hour 54 minutes in, the actual time was 8:54 pm yesterday evening. Ah the magic of radio but hey, the lad's still in his teens, perhaps the youngest DJ on British radio - and has probably never heard Hayley sing in his young life! Until last night Dave

Some say there is no such thing as coincidence, I was re reading this thread only a hour before your post Dave.
Happy coincidence.

13/11/19 Classic FM about 2 hrs ago (I was having breakfast!) Quanta Qualia. Classic keeping trust with her. Not a request just a management slip in.

Hi all, Was anyone listening to the Bill Turnbull programme on Classic FM last Sunday (2nd February 2020)? Bill played Hayley's superb rendition of: "Quanta Qualia" and then expressed his appreciation for Hayley's unique voice. He described her as: "the human oboe"!!! I have previously heard that the oboe and the cello are the instruments which are closest to the human voice, depending on the vocal range. Andrew

Hi All, Alexander Armstrong played Hayley's:"Pokarekare Ana" just a few minutes ago on his Classic FM Programme. He described Hayley's voice as: "the definitive ethereal voice"... I totally agree with him! ![8-)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/cool.png) Andrew

I'm glad they're continuing to play her music! I wonder if her visit to London was to let them know she was returning to the scene soon, so they would continue to play it. But I just realized that was more than a year ago!

Great, was it a request from a listener or all his own choice.

Not requests but I see from the playlists that Classic FM played Hayley's Quanta Qualia at 2:05 am on 12th. October, and not even Classic FM but Scala Radio played Hayley's Ave Maria (Caccini) at 23:03 this last Friday, 23rd October. I missed that, I often listen to that station at that time of the evening. Hayley is definitely not forgotten about here in the UK. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
