Latest fan video of the Rhydian tour. I'll be seeing these two later this month and I bet Rhydian mentions the rugby, the way the Welsh always do when they beat England !

Although England are out Scotland are very much in the World Cup and can qualify for the quarter-finals if they beat Samoa this afternoon. So we will be hearing "Flower of Scotland" once again. Lucy's mum (Glenis Riley) has posted a Twitter link to the complete song which of course I can't duplicate here for copyright reasons. The song has an interesting history though, commemorating as it does a great victory of Robert Bruce (King of Scotland) when he defeated an invading English army led by Edward II at the Battle of Bannockburn in 1314 and so secured independence for Scotland until at least 1603. Even in those days it was a hot topic ! Here are the lyrics to the song: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flower_of_ScotlandThe Scots will be hoping for another great victory this afternoon. Of course Robert Bruce has left a lasting legacy to the world of music and broadcasting in that a descendant of his is a DJ at BBC Radio 2.

A rather lovely photograph with auntie and niece, minus the trumpet this time ! Lucy has put several covers on Soundcloud, one of which I seem to have heard before ! To listen to others click on this link: soundcloud.com/lucykayofficialWhether any of the songs turn up on her next album remains to be seen.

Two heads? That's a clever trick! When I was about six, I wrote to my granny and told her I'd grown another foot. She sent me three socks for Christmas! Richard

Very good, Richard ! I see you've already opened your box of Christmas Crackers and pulled one ! Talking of things you put on your feet...... Those boots don't look like they were made for walking !
