Who are Kirk and Anne Douglas? Are they the ones in the 1st photo? If so, what do they have to do with anything? Okay, I'm kind of confused here. So someone said David Foster was at whatever event she went to. Is that true or not? If it is, was he in NZ, or was he in CA, where he lives?  What about Lorde? She also is working the US these days, isn't she? Of course, I'm sure she goes back to NZ like Hayley does, as it seems she did in this case. Also, Dave just said the other day that he had found out that the trip was part business, part holiday. So, maybe the holiday part was for Hollywood, and the business was for NZ. But I still wonder if people really ever go to Hollywood just for a "holiday". Maybe, but when it's someone like Hayley, you have to wonder. Another thing that gets me is that if she was doing nothing other than sitting in airport on the way to NZ, why was she all glammed up, and if it meant nothing, why would she tease her fans about it? Making something seem like something it's not? Oh, and remember Gina Beck, from Wicked? The very day she tweeted to Hayley, she was on her way to Oklahoma. She was most likely not heading there from NZ. Unless someone can find out otherwise. I still think there was something going on. I don't think Hayley would mess with us that much, that's not really fair to tease THAT much, and I don't think that was the case, anyway. |

Kirk Douglas is a 97-year-old movie star, father of Michael Douglas.
However, he is no longer of any consequence to Hayley in Hollywood as it has now been determined that she was not involved in anything major there that we know of. (His party was a mammoth affair, including David Foster, but the weekend before Hayley's performance in NZ.) We were on the wrong track trying to tie Hayley into it.
The guy with Hayley in the picture of three I believe is Rhys Darby, and as a wild guess, his wife.
Under the picture, notice "Rhys" (a comedian) and the "Hales". Without going back to check, I think that it was reported that he was master of ceremonies.
No question on that being Sophie Westenra.
I was so excited about the possibilities of something developing in Hollywood that the party being in NZ was a letdown for me.

Well glad we know now. Sorry for sending you all in the wrong direction! Oops !  Know what? I've seen nothing in this thread to prove or disprove anything. The fact remains that we all know absolutely nothing. We don't really know when she went where when, and I think we just need to relax and wait for any info we're allowed to see appears. This is why I refrain from posting these things on the official forum, because there's really nothing informative about them at all. Also, if I'm not clear on details (like who that couple is in the photo, and what the event is, etc.), then there's no point in my posting anything about it. It's fun to speculate here, sometimes, but I'm so lost now. LOL |

Yes, Bob, but you still have not convinced me. She met Gina Beck at Soho House in LA. Her tweet about posing at the Soho House in LA happened 8 minutes before her tweet about Hayley. This was more than an airport stop. Maybe it was just for fun, but I still wonder.

Hi Libby, I think that she may have bumped into her at the SoHo. I tend to agree with Taylor, that she was in Hollywood briefly, but no business. I had noticed that you had been away from the forum for awhile to the point where I had questioned it with a post (your name not mentioned) which I have deleted.
This whole Hollywood - Aukland affair got fairly well straightened out quickly. I don't see any point to messing around with it anymore. The complete thread is now quite explanatory.

Actually, it isn't completely explanatory to me. This party was Saturday, not Monday, when she posted her tweet. And she was packing and flying during the week before that. It's quite a few days from Monday till Saturday. Also, I have visited the forum every day except yesterday and most of today, and I don't think it's been that long since I posted. Also, I read through all the posts since my last post (which was just the other day). If this matter is no longer allowed to be discussed, then maybe it should be locked.  |
