If so, let's talk about it.
How long have you had it? What made you buy it? Which is your favourite song on the album?
In fact, anything about this album you like.
Keith.

Great news! Hayley's self-titled CD has been delivered to me today!!! I was lucky to get the 2 bonus tracks too.
Yeah, I just had to have this CD ! A few of the songs were sung previously by Charlotte and I knew Hayley would perform them brilliantly.
Amazon was great in their fast delivery. They have her self-titled CD, My Gift to You, and Pure (special edition w/ bonus Xmas CD). I was surprised when I rec'd the free VCD w/ Pure, bought from Ye Olde Corner Shoppe.
Ok, my favourite song on the self-titled CD has to Wishing You Were Here Again. It's quite simply a wonderful song and yet it has a haunting melody.
Rounding out the top five...I Dreamed a Dream, Mists of Islay (a lovely song), Bright Eyes and finally Love Changed Everything.
Hayley's voice on the Amazing Grace track is so graceful and strong. You have to love the Royal Scots Pipe and Drum performance!!!
I'm hoping Decca/Universal are planning to release Hayley's very limited (1,000 only) CD 'Walking in the Air'?!
I'll prob. listen to the CD again. I'll certainly be having a Happy Hayley Christmas!

I wonder whether sales of 'Hayley Westenra' and 'MGTY' will rocket many times beyond their massive initial levels, as 'Pure' gains Hayley legions of new devotees around the world. Never having heard of Hayley here in Scotland, until receiving 'Pure' for Christmas, I only obtained 'Hayley Westenra' and 'MGTY' early this February. Hayley's voice was already very impressive when she recorded these albums, which feature some great songs. I especially loved both versions of 'Ave Maria' (particularly Bach's), which I would love Hayley to sing again on her next album along with 'God Defend New Zealand', since her voice has progressed so much further since then, (providing doing so would not damage this still developing voice). Apologies for 'selecting' a few more songs here, but Hayley also sang 'Amazing Grace','Bright Eyes', 'Memory' and 'Mists of Islay' beautifully.

My copy of Hayley Westerna arrived in my mailbox today and I was very impress! I have heard clips of it from this website and I was very happy when I found the link to Netcd.co.nz because the price was reasonable so I purhcased it right away. And I enjoyed every song of it. It was very nice to hear Hayley's 'young' voice singing some of the world's most beautiful songs.

Hi Jenny, I'm glad you're enjoying HW. Yeah, Hayley does sing brilliantly. I'm still wishing and hoping that her ultra-rare CD 'Walking In The Air' becomes available. Take care Joe

Hello Jenny! I've owned "Hayley Westenra" (the CD!) since I found a copy in HMV in London back in December 2003, over a year before I joined this forum. The album was recorded when Hayley was still thirteen, and I think it's quite amazing. I particularly enjoy the duet of "All I Ask Of You" with Shawn Dixon, and it was nice to hear Hayley perform this song live with José Carreras at Hampton Court in June this year. Hayley's voice showed great promise back in 2001, and just listen to her now! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest Wishes from London, Richard

Hi Richard, Hayley's voice takes my breath away! I still can't believe that anyone could have such a pure crystal clear voice... She have sang All I ask of you with Carreras before? That must have been one amazing live duet!!! Hi Belinda, thanks for posting the article, I think Hayley looks like an Elf in that picture, and the other pics in the Hayley Westerna little booklet that comes with the CD, with such breathtaking beauty. Love, Jenny

Hello again Jenny! Hayley and José sang "All I Ask Of You" twice at Hampton Court, the second time as an encore, which sounded even better than the first time. Hayley hit the high notes live just as accurately as she did on the CD, and her singing was breathtaking. She certainly made some new fans that night! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifHayley had sung with José a few times before this concert, but I don't know if they had ever sung this song together before. Best Wishes, Richard

Hello again Jenny! Hayley and José sang "All I Ask Of You" twice at Hampton Court, the second time as an encore, which sounded even better than the first time. Hayley had sung with José a few times before this concert, but I don't know if they had ever sung this song together before. Best Wishes, Richard Lothar recorded the encore performance of All I Ask of You on his video camera - but in audio only with a lot of interference and cutting out just before the end. I cleaned up the audio and made a presentable file of it which gives me nice memories of their concert together. I also made an experimental (and slightly ragged!) slide show of this, using some photos taken by Keith during their actual performance - and the cleaned up audio. I know I sent a copy to Keith - but I cannot remember if I ever posted this on the forum, or sent it to Lothar (how rude of me ) Simon or Gerrit! In fact, I had to search hard in the deepest recesses of my hard drive to locate it today... it was buried deeply, which may explain why I forgot about it. I must be getting old Can someone tell me if I did make this performance (minus the end bit) available, anywhere? Dave

It was during the concert in the Royal Albert Hall in London on 10th December 2003. Yep, I was at that one too! Roger
