Stunning images and video! I love the first cover! Perfect. I wished Hayley would sing that first duet the classical way, now her voice/technique is just inferior to the Japanese woman who's singing it gracefully and brilliantly. I like the second song a lot though
As for the duet, well, it seems that the pairing was probably more a marketing thing from Universal's perspective -- as the two voices probably aren't a natural choice for a duet. But then again, pairing 'on trend' artists up for duets is rather the bread and butter of classical crossover, so it is what it is.
Actually Jillian I loved the duet. In fact I thought the whole video was brilliant. I am really looking forward to getting this album now.
Andas for the album title, who could disagree? Hayley Westenra - The Best. Yes she certainly is that! At least in my experience.
The cover is certainly a far cry from her old Japanese album covers... and I mean that in a good way! Though the second cover is back to resembling the old shots.
I love the other photo that shows her dress. It's a simple but beautiful dress, and Hayley looks amazing in it. Sing, I have no problem when I click Save Image as... However, I'll wait for a non-watermarked photo before I really save it to my computer. You can't even crop off the words without also cropping off part of her head.
I'm a little baffled as to why you all seem almost surprised that this was taken after her wedding. It seemed pretty obvious to me. And didn't we see the wedding ring in Woman's Day magazine? I know I did! How could anyone miss that?

Her voice was NOT inferior to the other lady's... just different. Hayley's voice has more power than it used to, so why not show that aspect of her voice now that she can? Especially if her duet partner has a softer, more precise sound, do we want Hayley to sound just like her, and not stand out? To me, Hayley's voice stood out more than the other lady's.
The other song is very nice, though I don't find it quite as exciting as everyone else seems to. Her voice isn't breathy, but it's still a little nasally and youthful sounding. But we know she can sound more classical, as in some songs on Hushabye, so she's not incapable of that sound.
I think I'll buy the album after all, but more for the cover and photos than anything else! LOL I need a new CD box!
Yes, Libby, Hayley's ring is there in the mag. Although quite hard to see clearly. My screen cap is not much better. I hope to see it for real in Dublin.

The 5th, I found that Yuka Miyake 莉 three Toumi曹 Maritime Self-Defense Force Tokyo musical band that has CD debut last year (27), was a duet from New Zealand singer Hayley (26). I sang songs recorded debut album of the Miyake "prayer ~ a prayer." It is likely to be noted as a collaboration of two diva with a beautiful singing voice. It is recorded in the best album of Haley to be released on the 26th.
Diva of New Zealand and the MSDF is played with. No. 1 Haley and Miyake took duet of "prayer ~ a prayer" is singing in Japanese Miyake, No. 2 singing in English Haley, No. 3 has been singing in Japanese two people.
Enters the training period in Yokosuka, Kanagawa education team to the end of March from January, Miyake did not make the play activities in the musical band. Late December last year, vocal duet for recording in the studio in Tokyo. February this year, Hayley was recorded according to the tape of Miyake singing in the studio in London now. Singing voice of two men finished the song blends in exquisite balance, and increased the sense of scale.
Two men was associated with a common thought. Starting with the Great East Japan Earthquake disaster area, sang "prayer ~ prayer" in concert around the country, Miyake has delivered a powerful message. On the other hand, New Zealand is a big earthquake occurred in February 11. Hometown of Hailey, Christchurch was severely damaged. In the memorial ceremony of the month later, I sang has sold 50 million copies in Japan alone to "Amazing Grace". There is also readily agreed that the plan of the duet is lifted, Haley was sympathy to the contents of the "prayer ~ a prayer." Miyake is delighted "with a really nice singing voice, you can heal the hearts of the people, it becomes a nice work you can do or encouraged" and it has been cited Haley to favorite singer for a long time. The song has been recorded best album of Haley released the 26th in the "prayer - Amazing Grace - Hayley Greatest Hits" is delivered from the same day, such as iTunes.

Miyake and Haley for the first show off the "prayer ~ a prayer." Haley look forward to the first co-star, "I thought the voice of Miyake's would do a nice what, but to sing together this song in the production.'ll Have found something that is common to my voice with her fun" and have.
I have ordered the CD/DVD through CD Japan and at NZ$46 it is a reasonable price due to the high NZ dollar. I remember paying NZ$70 for the first Hayley Sings Japanese Songs CD
