Or even Album Ideas (plural) for Hayley. That way we can invite anyone who has an idea. Who knows, if certain people read it, it might even happen. It wouldn't be the first time! But yes, how about "Patriotic Songs of the World". In addition to the ones already mentioned, ISTR once seeing a video of a live performance of something called "I Love you China". There are lots of others from all over the world.

Comet, going back to your post above: What makes you think people who listen to Christian radio don't listen to other music like pop? Not all Christians are complete prudes, actually most aren't. All right, Richard. I'll create the thread as soon as I can manage it (maybe tonight, but possibly not till Sun. morning your time, which I suppose would be appropriate). Martin, I think I'll make the thread for a specific album theme, just so it's less confusing (or overwhelming for someone important to whom it might interest were to read it (like Hayley, haha, yeah right). There is that other thread with song suggestions for Hayley. I do think patriotic songs would be very nice songs for Hayley to sing, but just not all of them at once on the religious album. We already thought of so many good hymns and other songs that the album is running out of room! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif LOL Just kidding. Of course she probably wouldn't do every song that we suggest, but I'm just pointing out that a patriotic song on the Christian/inspirational album would likely have be limited to one per country, which means a bonus track. I did see an album by KJ that seemed to be about British patriotism or something like that, so an album full of such songs isn't out of the question. It's just that Hayley is from NZ, living in London, and appealing to countries all over the world. For KJ it makes sense, because, although she also is known in other countries, she is actually from the United Kingdom, so singing all British songs is more fitting for her. It wouldn't make sense for Hayley to do the same thing, not to mention being too copycat.

Your words, not mine. Most people just switch their radios on or off, they will tune it to the station they want to listen to and leave it for years. I obviously spend to much time watching Bugs Bunny and listening to Hushabye.

Thanks, comet, for reminding me that I said what I said. And yes, obviously, comet. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifActually, a lot of people check a lot of different stations to see if anything good is on. I've never personally been all that crazy about any particular radio station, though of course there are a couple that I'm more likely to try than others.

This isn't US radio, but I didn't think it necessary to start a whole thread for it. Just wanted to mention that on Twitter I keep seeing Croydon Radio Music keep listing Hayley as being "recently heard" on their station. I didn't find a way to listen online, though. But it's interesting to note that other artists they mention are not all CC singers, many are pop. I've seen Sting, Aretha Franklin, and George Michael. Also Josh Groban and Heather Small. twitter.com/MusicCroydon

BobS www.croydonradio.com/player/ Edit: Looks to me as if they have only 2 Hayley songs: I Dream A Dream and Prayer. Would say that one would do a lot better on Romantica. They just played 3 Hayley songs within the last 15 minutes. www.radiotunes.com/romantica

That's not really the point, the point is she's being played on a station that people who might not normally listen to the genre could stumble upon Hayley's music. I mean, there is quite a difference between Aretha Franklin and Hayley Westenra, if you ask me. I'm not worried about it for me. Hayley fans like us don't need to bother with radio to listen to Hayley, we have our CDs and Mp3 playlists to play whatever song we want, when we want. And while Josh Groban is played on Romantica and other similar stations quite a bit, from what I've heard, in the UK, he seems to be played on less classical stations than Hayley is.

So much for what?
I'm surprised they'd have I Dream(ed?) a Dream on there when it isn't on any international/UK album by Hayley.

I found another radio tweet about Hayley, this time more interesting (though still not US radio):
Here's the description of her show, which is from Hawarden, North Wales:
An hours Classical Journey every Sunday morning 9am - 10am only on Radio Deeside
