I had a rush of blood to the head earlier (it happens occasionally), and I reckon that none of us have been firing on all cylinders. I reckon that the delay in release of "the" album is because it's being timed to maximise the possibility of making the Christmas No.1 slot in all the key charts.
So standby. Should be any day now ..... It’s possible, Crissy, that Hayley releases her album in mid-December, but I think we would have known about it. I do not like how Simon Cowell did the current series of The X Factor (opting to include celebrities compete rather than the public), so I reckon the winner may once again get the Christmas number one.

If “The Album” (Does it really exist? Is it just a huge wind-up?) is to have any chance at the Christmas No. 1 spot, now is the moment …..

If it were going to be released by Xmas I think we'd have heard something by now ! No use releasing too close to Dec 25, mid-November would have been ideal.

Lowish-selling albums (which in the grand scheme of things it is likely to be) shouldn't really be released in November or December, they just get lost among the big budget releases! Except perhaps Christmas albums, of course. Some time in the Spring would be better but I wouldn't expect it to make the charts in the US or UK unless there is record company promotional support - but in Taiwan Hayley might do quite well. It might well be downloads and/or streaming only, of course.
We'll do our bit of course - here on Facebook and Youtube - if and when the long-awaited release, er, releases!

All good points, Dave, and I'm beginning to think you may be right.
We're almost out of the Christmas "window" now and everyday of non-appearance is one more day beyond it.
Also, where would Hayley need to be on release day and the days following in order to maximise publicity? probably not LA.
Of course, she and Chris may already be in place. No news continues to be no news.

Yes, when Hayley's albums were competing with the X Factor folk, her albums were usually out in November. It is now November 29th. I am hoping that the coming new year will start a little like this year did... with something big in the Hayley world... and hopefully, we'll all be in on it! LOL No record company... All right then, so why was she at Capitol Records recently, then? Can anybody walk into Capitol Records and use their equipment?? Just saying!! Unless she's also working on getting one of her songs to be played in a movie or TV show. That would be great, of course, but... I just don't know. And... why would she not be in LA to release her album? At least the American release of it? I assume the reason she moved to LA to begin with was to increase her chances of "making it" in the American market. Otherwise, if that didn't matter to her at all, why not just stay in London, or better yet, go home to New Zealand (she moved here before she met Chris, as far as we know)? Please tell me why you think she has no chances of doing well in the charts anywhere (MIGHT do quite well in Taiwan!?? My goodness! She only has concerts there every year or so! ). Okay, so she might release the album in NZ first. Even though it's been years since her last album, and a lackluster one at that, she is still very famous there, and would likely top the charts there. When she was in NZ for the first half of this year, aside from the studio work, I kept thinking that she was preparing for her album launch and a potential tour there. She may well have been, too. So you're right, she may not be in LA for the initial album release. But, again, I don't think she's only planning to release her album in NZ. If she's planning to have a successful album release, she'll be in the right location at the right time. As for the UK, haven't the UK radion stations still been playing her songs? Is that just coincidence? Do artists have any say in that at all, or is it just whatever the person feels like playing at the time? Remember, she visited London last fall. Could have just been to visit friends and so Chris could see London. I think it was more than that, though. It was only a few months before she started in the studio in NZ. London is where her career technically launched. Also, I seem to recall photos/stories of her in the studio with a producer named Ian (forgot last name) in London... I think that was in 2017, though. She was seen singing in front of a recording mic. Don't know if anything she did in the studio prior to Roundhead amounted to anything, BUT... it still happened. I guess my point in all this rambling is, just because Hayley hasn't had an album in a while doesn't mean she is no longer valid as an artist and that everyone in the world has forgotten her. Sarah Brightman goes 5 years without an album, with no radio play whatsoever (at least, none that I've ever heard of), and is still hugely successful. Of course, you can't really compare the 2 for a number of reasons, but it proves my point that people don't forget an artist so quickly that they can have no success ever again.

Well I hope the album isn't a download only. I'm one of those old-fashioned people who like to collect things like CDs and arrange them on my shelves in alphabetical order ! Sad I know. With a download, if I can't hold it in my hands I don't feel like I've actually got it in a weird kind of way. I'm in good company. Elton John felt the same way in an advert for the Post Office in 2015 !

Elton John felt the same way in an advert for the Post Office in 2015 ! I am reviewing the situation, my son moved out into a house of his own, he left all his cds, video tapes, college books and notes and various other collections in our house, his house is very neat and tidy, unlike the room he abandoned here in our house. His sitting room / dining room is beautifully uncluttered, you can see so much wall space and clear floor space just two little Sonas speakers on small shelves. we were discussing some music as he sat reclined on his comfortable unstained new designer couch and I mentioned some piece of recorded music I had being trying to get for years, he seemed preoccupied with his phone and a few seconds later the piece of music I had being looking for was playing from these tiny speakers and it sounded like a four thousand pound Hi Fi system, and I began to wonder why do I have thousands of cds, hundreds of lps and thousands of seven inch singles spread all over the house attic and workshop, it could take me hours to locate one seven inch single. Not to mention the space taken up by turntables, cd players, dvd players, vhs tape players, cassette decks, radios, tvs and monstrous speakers in nearly every room. Life has changed. I am reviewing the situation.

Without CDs, there is no album artwork, no credits, no information at all! We go without information so much now as it is, must we continue that lack of information forever? 🙄 I feel like all she does is hide things from us constantly, it makes me wonder if that’s the way it’ll be forever!

The album artwork is with the download,. You have to print it out and cut it down to size and get a CD case and burn the files to CD yourself, by the time you get new ink cartridges and some photo paper it should all come in under a hundred notes.💿👍

It's really all about streaming these days, either via Spotify, Tidal etc., or Youtube - most of Hayley's albums are on her Youtube channel there. I have more CDs than I want to bother counting but I never listen to any of them these days as I use Tidal, via my PC connected to my hifi. Or via my phone if I want. My car hasn't even got a CD player, I have to use a usb stick or connect via my phone to play my personal choices of music. Sad days, but I've adapted and as consolation I have access to a far wider range of music than I could ever dream of using CDs or even downloads. Here's what you get from typical streaming service, you can get 30 second samples without signing up to Tidal via their website, I don't think you can do that with spotify. Album and track details are available via the info box, or the little ... boxes by each track. Not as good as CDs, or even iTunes downloads artwork, but at least we get - usually - the music. listen.tidal.com/artist/57092 (USA - no Pure!!!) So Hayley could do streaming, downloads or CDs (by post if necessary), I just want to know if, how and when!

But why does it have to be or??? Why can’t it be AND?? All of the above? Almost any artist you can name these days has their music on Amazon available in both CD and digital format. Even lesser known artists do!! I have proof! Remember that artist Hayley recommended about 3 1/2 years ago, named Max Jury? Well I do. I checked him out, and I liked what I heard. He wasn’t that famous, BUT... he had actual CDs for sale on Amazon!
I am so not buying everyone’s dire predictions that she can’t or won’t have CDs!! 🤷♀️🙄🤔 I’m pretty sure that I will be buying Hayley’s new CD, though! 😊😂

I also try to buy the physical CD when possible as it is something tangible. Then I can add it to my iTunes, share it to my iPads, or even make a copy for the car.
