Hayley seems to have been updating her YouTube (video's) site in the last week so I wonder if there is something on the horizon. Sorry, it is Playlist that she has updated and not video's. It is promising though that she is beefing up her YouTube channel with playlists with all her albums, and 2/3 videos that were on her Vevo account to promote her earlier albums. Maybe they will add another few music videos in the upcoming days.

I met Kerenza Peacock today; she was accompanying Daisy Chute in a street festival performance in Wandsworth, London. Kerenza is based in LA now; she told me that she has been working with Hayley recently and that the new album sounds amazing Sorry, that's all the gossip I have for you. Kerenza wouldn't be drawn on timescales - I think she genuinely doesn't know.

(when you told me in Salisbury LOL). I suppose that means we might expect some musical contribution from Kerenza on Hayley's album? Recently, though? Unless she's been in New Zealand in what I consider to be recently, then it couldn't have been more recent than about 6 months ago! Unless Hayley sneaked over to LA or England with us none the wiser, but I doubt it. I have noticed that Chris often likes Kerenza's posts, so that means he's familiar with her as well, possibly having worked with her on recording her instrumentals? Or even on the compositon of the music? And now that we know the vocals have been recorded, as well as various instruments, I'm starting to wonder if there ever will be any orchestra. Well, I have been wondering that for a while, but Alicia always seems to be certain there will be, but I am not so certain.

Well, I have been wondering that for a while, but Alicia always seems to be certain there will be, but I am not so certain. The reason I have been so certain is that the probability of Hayley doing a record without an orchestra anywhere on the album is highly unlikely based on her past albums. Could she completely change? Absolutely. I would be pleasantly surprised, and welcome the chance to listen to something completely different. Would her other fans, particularly the causal fans, share in my enthusiasm? I don't know. If she does a folk/country album, will she still be able to promote this album on the Classical music stations in the UK and Ireland? I don't know. Could she make new connections in the music industry and "start" over again? She could, but it seems she doesn't want to retread the "put yourself out there" and "establish your name" phrases again. At least that is the vibes I get, but I could be wrong. This could be an one off album, Hayley's experimental album so to speak, and different from the rest of her body of work. But obviously we don't know that. Could Hayley be doing what Charlotte Church did, and leave the classical crossover niche forever? Maybe. Hopefully, Hayley doesn't go as trashy as Charlotte went when she first left classical crossover. And us poor souls in America can see her perform every so often. But who knows. The first unreleased song, "Who Will Echo My Heart?", was performed with an orchestra which supported my theory at the time. Could she decide to change the score and just do piano and/or guitar? Absolutely. Could the song not appear on the album at all? Absolutely. Could the song be part of an old idea/theme to the album? Absolutely. Could WWEMH be the "odd" song on the album like "Summer Fly" was with Treasure or could "Greener Lands" be the "odd" song? From what we have seen the last 4/5 months, it looks to be WWEMH, but we really don't know yet since they are still working on the album. I have thought "Greener Lands" would be the "odd" song in the past, but what I see that the album may be a mixture of the country/folk genres and classical crossover. So both songs may perfectly fit the album. But again, no one in the fan base knows. Hayley may or may not use an orchestra. She may not tell us about the orchestra, if it indeed is being used, and instead be highlighting the solo/featured instrumentalist. Thanking them for their time and talents, and getting us excited and talking about something new and different. Great marketing plan. But we don't really know the final destination. So we will see....

I guess when Kerenza says recently, she means within the last year then. I would imagine Hayley and Kerenza would take pictures and tag each other if they would be together in the last 4/5 months. Unless she went into the studio with Chris and laid down her parts without Hayley present, and Chris not posting about Kerenza. So....does that mean the songs Hayley worked on 2/3 years ago being considered still for the album? This is creating more questions than answers.

At this point, I don't think we can really make any assumptions. I'm not sure we can really base anything on her previous albums, because ummmmm, the last one was 6 years ago this month!!!Also, since we're not sure she has a record company anymore, we don't know what kind of budget she's on. Now, the fact that Kerenza was involved suggests that there is some sort of stringed instrument on it... but, we don't know if Kerenza was there alone, or if some other musicians were involved, as well. Or, maybe Kerenza's playing would be on one of the non-orchestra pieces. I would doubt that Chris and Jason would oversee the recording of an orchestra, but one never knows. It must cost a lot of money to get one. Well, if they do get one, I will guess it will be the NZSO. Since she's done almost everything else there. But then I also wonder why some stuff was done in LA and not in NZ. What's the difference? I know Sarah Brightman always records things all over the world. But she has a much bigger budget and has a wider variety of special artists and instruments and sounds on her albums. Maybe we haven't seen the orchestra session simply because it just hasn't happened yet... not necessarily because it won't happen. It sounds like things are still uncertain as to when the album is even coming out. If Kerenza honestly didn't know when the album was coming out, that could just mean nobody told her (but why not?), or that nobody ELSE (including Hayley!) knows! Either that or Kerenza is just not at liberty to say. I've been considering why Hayley postponed her Taiwan concert to record the album. Of course, the sooner the better!! I'm only curious about logistics here. Does that just mean that was the only time she could manage to book Roundhead for the recording session? Or does it just mean that she decided to get it done sooner because she wanted it completed by a certain time? Because she does have a release date in mind? She's clearly been preparing things almost constantly since the New Year. Not just the recording sessions and the "bee-hind the scenes" stuff, because I think she's been doing a lot of other preparations for her album release, and possibly a tour. I still think her album launch and tour are all going to be in NZ. There's probably a reason why she's been in NZ so long (aside from the fact that she was born and raised there). She started following a NZ TV show host, which could be coincidence, but maybe now she's planning the shows she'll promote her album on. I'm not totally doubting that there will be an orchestra, I'm just saying that we really don't know anything for sure anymore, and haven't for years and years! Alicia, there have been all questions and no answers since at least 2015! This is a very normal circumstance!

Oh, and there's no danger of Hayley going trashy. Remember that article about Hayley resisting the advice to become a "tart"? No, Hayley's not going trashy on us. LOL

So this is what this forum has come to. Nobody even cares anymore? That’s my biggest worry about Hayley’s album. Has she waited so long that everyone has moved on and all but forgotten her? Well, it kind of seems like it. And although things appear to be getting closer, it’s still not happening. I feel like I’ve been telling others for years that she’s been working on an album and it might be out soon. I guess it’s no wonder everyone has disappeared. 🙁

Hi Libby, The forum still gets 200 to 300 views per day on average, I think most people probably just do a quick scan of the recent posts on their phones or tablet devices and just don't login.
considering this thread was started July 27th 2013

I visit the forum almost every day. I just usually don't have anything interesting to contribute. Now, when that new album comes out, I'll be on here much more frequently 😂

Well, I originally posted this in the World Games 2009 post, since yesterday was 10 years since her amazing performance of the Moon Represents my Heart. Nobody responded, so it just seemed like nobody found that the least bit interesting. Sorry to be so negative, but I wasn’t having a very good day yesterday, and I guess that contributed to my dour post. All the old members seem to have vanished, and I’ve been worrying about that for a while in regards to her new album. Will all the old fans even be paying attention when it finally does arrive? Also, I get virtually no reaction to the few times I post on Hayleysforum Twitter page.

I felt that your words about Hayley’s album would be more easily seen here. You and I have been friends for so long that I knew something was on your mind. We all have days when nothing goes right...I should know! I hope today went much better for you. When Hayley’s album does arrive, we need you to promote the heck out of it on your Hayleysforum Twitter page!

Oh don’t worry, I will! I think I’ll be going crazy with excitement when that happens! And I know things must be close if Hayley asked us if we wanted new music. Of course she knows we do, but I’m sure she said it mostly to get our attention, to let us know that it’s actually almost ready to happen. Maybe also to guage the current state of her fan base. That was already almost 3 weeks ago now, but luckily the weeks go by fast, so hopefully it’ll be album time in no time... maybe. Lol
