you got me too Taylor, I was doing a quick scroll through most recent posts and saw the PICTURE, nice design work Taylor. The REVIVE in Optima, lovely font designed by Hermann Zapf, No straight lines, so elegant, can also be found on a famous wall in Washington.

Having a walk down memory lane. Throw back to this video from Hayley's 2011 New Zealand tour. I remember My Heart Belongs to You going down an absolute storm. Probably the most popular song of the night.
It would be great to hear more of this kind of song from Hayley in the future.
I hope Hayley does another NZ tour soon! It really has been too long between tours.

Yes, Jillian, I agree, more songs like that would be great for her. I'm definitely looking forward to the new song, and the whole album, of course. Speaking of which: I like no. 7 personally. So her plans next year is to "go into the studio & make preparations on her new album." Hmmm.....so everything so far is demos then? Glad to know she feels ready to go to the next step! I find that quote from the Taiwan article just a tad disturbing, that she hasn't even "officially" gone into the studio yet!! The translation may be a bit off (maybe, LOL), but the preparations thing has me a little concerned, too. And if you go by the wintry-sounding lyrics from the new song... heaven forbid they wait till next fall/winter to release it!! Then that would destroy Dave's theory of skipping the holiday season. How about February? It's still winter then, too. This past year has gone by fast, so a year from now would seem like it's flown by. But in the meantime, the waiting will seem like forever! It already has seemed like forever! It's already 2 1/2 years and counting from her last intl. album, and it looks like it's going to be 3! This will be a record for her. Of course, Josh Groban went that long once, between his Christmas album and Illuminations, was 3 years. 4 years from his last "regular" album. I never really hoped for Hayley to follow suit in that respect, though.

Hi All, "Who Will Echo My Heart?" may be the first song out of the box for the next album. It appears to be off to a good start. Wonder how long it will be before we all get to hear it? Keep your eyes and ears open for something to post here on it! BobS

Keep your eyes and ears open for something to post here on it! BobS Well, in my last post, I was worrying about how the wintry lyrics of the song seem to suggest it would be in winter, which could even mean next year! That said, Treasure contained several songs that mention summer, yet it was released in late winter/early spring. So, maybe we won't really have to wait another year, maybe just a few months... I hope. However, I have my doubts that the album will actually be released in winter. Hopefully spring, though.

It would be different if we knew how many songs are in the can or if she has only her part left on the recordings. But without any further insight, I think she can surprise us! My guess right now is April/May is the earliest we can hope for the record. It takes 2-3 months to engineer, master, and print CDs, etc. Assuming orchastra is needed for the new material (& we have not seen her with an orchastra yet), then that is another month. So right there puts us squarely in April. But one thing is concern, she felt comfortable enough to share a new song with us! Well the Far East fans. So I don't see her wanting to lose the buzz that this concert has created. I bet she really wants all this new material out there already. It's happening next year that's for sure!

So I don't see her wanting to lose the buzz that this concert has created. I bet she really wants all this new material out there already. It's happening next year that's for sure! Well, I don't doubt it's next year (otherwise, there's real cause for worry), but I'm just not thrilled about the prospect of waiting a whole year. It'll be worth the wait, but we've already been waiting! From what the article's translation and what she said at the press conference, to me it sounds like Hayley's spent the year songwriting, and next year she'll go into the studio to record it. The "preparations" thing makes you wonder, though, but it is google translate, after all. It could mean something, or may not mean anything. For example, we know that the name Harriet always means Hayley, so we know by now to take the translations with several grains of salt. And, don't forget what Hayley herself told fans at the Madison concert. Also, remember what Dave says about the risky holiday season CD sales. So, going by both of these things, and what you say, I'm holding out hope for spring 2016. Hopefully soon after the new year, she'll be in the studio and doing photo shoots, etc. I do live in hope. Doesn't mean I don't worry a bit. Spring would be a good time for me to go to the Barnes & Noble in Bellevue, WA, where they every so often have some of Hayley's albums in stock, even her old ones. That way, to make the trip worthwhile, my sister and I could go to the Bellevue Botanical Gardens!

I'm betting on a Christmas release now. I don't think the album will be released prior to Hayley's Dublin concert in June. Hayley is apparently still writing lyrics -- independently it seems, but we don't know what that is for - whether it is just recreational or if it is specifically for an album. Hayley said in an interview last year that she was planning on spending this year going into the studio to prepare for the recording of a new album. Maybe we all presumed that the creation process was a lot further along than it actually is? We have one new song though -- that enough is confirmed.
I had wondered if Decca was doing something like with-holding the next album. But Hayley is showing no public signs of discontent so perhaps this very long wait has always been planned.

Congratulations Jillian on 3000 posts and a new avatar thingy where your embroidered J used to be. The most exciting thing that happened here on the forum in a while, I may need to take a rest now.

Ha ha ha ha ha We'll probably all end up going into cardiac arrest when an album release date is eventually announced.

Yeah, I might die of shock. I've almost gotten to the point now where the thought of a new Hayley album seems about as out-of-reach as the thought of ever going to a Hayley concert and meeting her used to seem for me. Yet, even though I did finally see her live and meet her, it still wasn't anywhere close to where I live, so in that respect, a Hayley concert still is out-of-reach for me. Madison was within reach, but let's just say it was at the very top of the shelf and I had to use a step stool to get at it. Now, Hayley and her album are on top of a mountain, and we're waiting for her to come down with it. And she won't even throw us any hints with any substance down to us. LOL I'm sounding crazy now, but that's what waiting indefinitely for possibly the best Hayley album ever does to a person. Or, at least, to me. Jillian, back to what might be happening with the album: I've just started re-reading Hayley's book In Her Own Voice, and I came upon something very intriguing, and has me wondering if this is what's happening: Hayley mentioned the desire to not only do more songwriting and arranging in the future, but also to eventually produce her own albums!! Do you think that's what could be happening now, as well as all the writing she's been doing? But if so, what was the Ben Brick and Loud Tiger stuff about? They do songwriting as well as producing I think, but she was at Tileyard studios quite a bit earlier last year, which seems to indicate lots of studio work. I keep returning to the idea that with all this time she's spent already in studios, and even a photo of herself in front of a recording mike wearing headphones, she might already have recorded stuff. And yet, at some point late last year, she said she'd spent most of the year songwriting. It's always just songwriting, and nothing more! That's why I posted that lyric from the Sound of Silence the other day, because it's just been bothering me. That line in the song seems kind of haunting, anyway, and disturbing and upsetting when you apply it to Hayley. I do realize her voice did share one song with Taiwan, but as far as we're concerned, she might as well have shared it on another planet. Only a tiny handful of members or guests on this forum have ever heard it! Here's that line again: People writing songs that voices never share...

Yes, Libby, very appropriate, the sound of silence is something we got a lot of from Hayley. Makes me wonder if she has some sort of problem we don't know about. Either that or she is becoming like the Beach Boys, who I'm told in 1966 too six months in the studio to record one track (Good Vibrations). But they had the excuse of trying to do things that stretched the technology of the day to its limits. They said that song could never be reproduced live, yet in 2002 Brian Wilson did that alone, without the rest of the band for the Queen's Goldn Jubilee in 2002.

Hi, Not very good news on today's Marty Whelan program regarding the release of Hayley's long-awaited next album. At 02:54:09 into the program, I believe that I heard her say that it will most likely be next year. (She talks faster than I hear!!!) BobS
