A recording microphone would usually be in an anti shock mount, not on a floor mounted stand. Usually yes, but not always some mics these days come with builtin shock absorbers , That's most certainly a recording mic. I suppose any old transducer on a stick with a sound sensitive piece producing a voltage could technically be described as a recording microphone depending on which century we are discussing. I can't identify the one in the picture. Maybe you could tell us the brand and model. Popular MicrophonesThe picture implies the person using the mic is in a sitting position, the mic head is angled downwards, rather odd for singing, even sitting at the piano most singers will place the microphone in a low position pointing upwards. Maybe it was a radio interview.

She could have very well adjusted the mic's position for the picture, that's analyzing it a bit too much I think, I can't tell the brand right off the pic, but it's a cardioid microphone, and can be used for recording vocals. But people doing podcasts, use it too, radiostations not so much.....We'll see, saves a lot of trouble if Hayley just tagged her pics XD....

So should we start a conversation on the antique collection in the wooden 19" rack system with the chickens feet control knobs. so much for : "If"
If a picture paints a thousand words Then why can't I paint you? The words will never show The you I've come to know

Err.. Comet, I'd rather forget that Kojac character. I once had a Kodie Brownac camera (or something like that). That was rubbish too.

Hmm, it's the battle of the microphone experts. LOL I'm totally fine with a radio interview, too, if it means we get some information! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifComet doesn't think it's recording, Simba doesn't think it's a radio interview. Well, then, what is it? The set-up to me looks FAR more like recording music. And, as I say, as far as her own album goes, you'd think she'd be way past demo stage by now. Heaven forbid we have to wait another year for the album!

Martin D Long before the lollipop man crooned or spoke his way through If we recognised it as a hit by Bread and David Gates. I would imagine Hayley is now working on her NEXT NEXT album. I hope the one we are currently waiting for is long out of Hayley's hands and possibly sitting in sealed boxes in secure warehouses awaiting shipping dates. I would assume Hayley is working on songs already that may not surface for some years to come.

I hope the one we are currently waiting for is long out of Hayley's hands and possibly sitting in sealed boxes in secure warehouses awaiting shipping dates. I would assume Hayley is working on songs already that may not surface for some years to come. Uuuhhh... I find that theory quite doubtful. If it's not the album we're currently waiting for, it's probably just a different project entirely. Who knows? But those notebooks would seem to point to some sort of notes... like song lyrics. Since Hayley hasn't told us so, I'm still not quite convinced the album has been fully-recorded. But these days, her not telling us doesn't mean anything anymore. As for being in the warehouses awaiting shipping dates... that sounds wonderful, but with nothing announced and no evidence on Amazon, etc., that's also rather doubtful. How can there be a shipping date, when no one has the capability of ordering it? Even the stores probably wouldn't yet. If she announced the album tomorrow, it wouldn't be out any earlier than November. Which means, nothing would be shipped till then. I doubt they're going to sit there in boxes for a month. Going back to the position of the microphone: What if she's sitting down, holding a guitar? I mean, she's obviously down low, and so is the mike, but why? If what you say about the position of the mike means it's not a "real" recording, then how does that make it then a demo recording? It can only be down low if it's a demo, and not a "real" recording? Though now that I think of it, you'd think there'd be some sheet music in front of her if it was the "real" recording. Must be something else... but I highly doubt it's the next album.

very good Libby, guitar makes sense, Look at Hayley's left hand finger positions on the back of her phone, Oh no that's her right hand, it's a mirror shot.

I'm trying to figure out what she's holding in front of her phone. Obviously she has her phone in one of those cases, and so one side is the phone, and the other side is the open cover. But what's that black square thing that appears to be held against it? I don't own one of those "contraptions" as Martin D calls it, so I'm at a loss. Speaking of her fingers, it's always reassuring to see her wedding ring where it belongs (it sometimes disappears)! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Hello Libby! There's a larger version of Hayley's latest photo on Facebook: No, it doesn't really help! Richard

I think it's just part of the case, probably leather and where the open flap is stitched to the rest of the case. No doubt a designer case... but i am the last person to ask about designer stuff... or iphones! Cheers, Android Man

It's part of the phone case. I was wandering through the forum and came across this: hwi.proboards.com/post/98721And it made me think of this next album and the talk surrounding it.

Thanks for sharing that, Paige. I don't remember that article at all, but it's certainly interesting to read it now! I'm guessing she still feels the same way, and her album likely is a lot more songwriting than she's done in the past. Going back to the phone case, I find it interesting that you can see her top through the spine!
