Yes, sadly. I believe she said she really wanted it to be out by the end of this year, but thinking more realistically, that it will be sometime next year. I'll put my chips in for an April release. Pure guess. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Let's hope it doesn't go any later than 2017, or my patience will run out for good. But, at last, we have a general timeline. Meaning, I can stop being so anxious, and just wait for 2017. Except, it seems like 2016 just started, and now I'm waiting for the next year already! LOL Well, at least we might get to hear new songs from the concert, if anyone manages to get a video.

Hahaha, I just realized you're saying 6 years because you're not counting Hushabye. Well, I'm going to count it and say 4 years... it sounds a tiny bit better. Martin, maybe we'll hear it at one of the concerts her website says might happen later this year.

Sad to hear that we may not get much in the way of videos from the concert. If the pictures and videos are not possible, could someone at least get an audio bootleg? That's all I really am looking forward to since it is all about the music for me. Thank you!
I have a feeling that I will be up late on Saturday waiting for all the concert reviews, any goodies, insights for new album and upcoming shows, signings, etc.
It's discouraging that we have anywhere from 7 more months to 19 more months till the new album is out. But I take hope that since Hayley is slowly rolling out new songs (plural as Libby has pointed out) for concerts means that it is closer than we think. But I am not going to guess anymore, I give up on that!
Question for those going to Dublin: Ask her how many songs is have in the can? How many songs does she record for each album usually? She mentioned in the Marty interview that she has to reach a point, and say "OK! Let's pick the best songs for the album from what we have accumulated." And go from there. And she stated in the interview, she has not reached that point yet. Curious to hear answers to the questions.
As long as we have waited, I like Martin's suggestion a couple years ago.....that we get a double album! And when the "NZ Special Edition" happens, we get like a third album's worth. haha

Well, with her in the studio a couple weeks ago, there could be something else going on. I mean, if she was there, yet is still saying it's not time for the album yet, then whatever she was doing there was probably not album related, after all. Going by the people who are involved (that we know of or can guess were), it might be something interesting, nonetheless. So that's good, but still very disappointing that it STILL might not be what we REALLY want!

I also know quite a few artists who have put duets, theme songs, etc on their record as well as their duet partners' record or the soundtrack. If this one off is included, it may help sell some of Hayley's record amongest the casual listeners or anybody who is a fan of the new movie/TV show. And the marketing tie-in to the movie/TV show promo could spread the word for her new album. Just a thought: She may have to wait until the movie/TV show is released before she can release her own album to have everything roll out at once for maximum impact on sales.

Just a thought: She may have to wait until the movie/TV show is released before she can release her own album to have everything roll out at once for maximum impact on sales. And I have to disagree with that. The last time Hayley did a movie or TV show song, it ended up on Prayer, a Japanese release, and that's the only way I got those songs. I think Jekyll might have been available on the "online" version of Treasure, which I think also included I'm Kissing You (which also was on Prayer!), but I didn't know very much about that back then (Josh Groban has had "online" versions where you get extra songs on it, and that's what that was with Hayley). So, anyway, it's unlikely that a TV or movie song will end up on the main release of an album. And, heaven forbid her album be themed around such a thing! The last time a movie song was on a main release was Bridal Ballad on Odyssey, and then that was only on the UK version. However, I agree with the decision to leave it off the other versions, despite the fact that I've always been annoyed by the Odyssey songs being scattered on various releases. It wouldn't have meant anything to the US audience unless it had been a really popular movie, which of course, it wasn't. I think the only way for that to work would be for it to be along the lines of Me Before You, where the songs are already existing, meaning they weren't necessarily written for the movie, they are just used in the movie. If one of Hayley's new songs for her next album could be in a movie, THAT would be amazing. Now, if it turned out it was for a popular movie (meaning popular worldwide), then yes. But, if it's something only the UK will know (like Flood), then that would only do her good in the UK. Anyway, I said what I did based on what Hayley told us. What she said sounded like she hasn't officially recorded anything, or at least maybe not submitted it to the record company for approval, or whatever she has to do.

Well, thanks to the set list for the concert (that is currently taking place), we now know who two of the people are that Hayley has been working with! Ronan Hardiman (Who Will Echo In My Heart): www.ronanhardiman.com/"Heaven" from Pure was actually written by Ronan. Most notably, he also composed the music for "Lord Of The Dance." Tom De Luca (Greener Lands), I couldn't find much on. I believe he might be a rocker from the mid-80's. Looking at his Discogs record, he is still active as a songwriter. Best bio I could find of him here, and here is his songwriting catalogue. If Hayley is working with him, I sense it could be a major shift in style. However, I guess we'll have to wait until reports come in from the concert. -Taylor

I have a feeling we know more than one song that's going to be in the next album, my guess
1. Who will Echo my Heart? 2. Greener Lands 3. Black is the colour (this one has to be in it!) 4. Here, there and everywhere (maybe, seems to just fit in) 5. Close to you 6. Over the rainbow (about time I guess) 7. Bridge over troubled water (Orchestral version)

I Know You By Heart 10. Vivo Per Lei (token duet) Is there any other songs she has sung in concert, but not recorded? The 10 mentioned plus another 4-5 original songs, and I think were there! Thoughts?

Well I heard a classic song on the radio today that I couldn't help thinking that Hayley could do a stellar job on, perhaps blowing every other version out of the water. And that is the Cat Stevens song "The First Cut is the Deepest". The version I heard was by Rod Stewart, and I fondly remember PP Arnold, but if I'm honest I can't rate either of those as great singers. I think Hayley would do a fantastic job on it, it is just her kind of song.
Of course she has never recorded "The Prayer" either, and I remember she once said she should sometime, admittedly that was in the presence of the songs composer (or one of them).

Of course she has never recorded "The Prayer" either, and I remember she once said she should sometime, admittedly that was in the presence of the songs composer (or one of them). Martin D Martin, she has recorded The Prayer, for Jai's album, we just never got to hear it. It's probably just as well, there are better singers out there (sorry Jai), and besides, he's not that popular these days (though he still has a following on social media). How about Mario? He has a great voice, and she's never included him on one of her own albums before. Ugh, if that song is the same as the Sheryl Crowe version I know, then... uuggghh. She'd do it justice, but there are sooo many other better songs. Namely, those written by Hayley. Though it could be fitting... Alicia, yes, those 3 are all songs I'd want on the album... but I'm beginning to despair of I Know You By Heart. She first sang it so long ago now (7 years??), although I think she has performed it live in the last few years. So, not impossible. But if she's written as many songs as it sounds, there might not be room for too many covers. But yes, I would really love to have a proper recording of it. Another song she hasn't recorded but has performed live more recently is You Raise Me Up. She didn't sing it this time, so maybe she's done with it, but you just never know. She did sing it at her most recent performance in NZ, so she might actually record it. I'll have to look back at that Taiwan program and see if it's in there. If not this album, maybe on the "inspirational" one. Haha. Only if she does it, of course (she knows about my idea, hehee). The Beatles song would be great. I liked how Celine did it, and I can easily imagine Hayley singing it just as well (though nobody can really match Celine's vocal power). However, I do wonder if she sang it in honor of Sir George, not necessarily because she's planning to put it on the album. But, I think she should. Even not having heard it, as I say, it's not hard to imagine her singing it, and I know she'd do great with it. The "oldies" vibe would fit with Close to You, and even Bridge OTW (I don't even know how old that song is), and then of course Over the Rainbow. I never would have dreamed I'd want that song on one of Hayley's future albums, but I can now say I would actually really enjoy it. Her performance in Madison (and everywhere else) was absolutely incredible! A mix of old and new songs wouldn't be bad! Actually, that would be similar to the type of mix on Treasure. Not the same style, necessarily, of course. Old, traditional songs mixed with Hayley's beautiful new songs, and Summerfly, for good measure. This one would likely include fewer Celtic songs, but the songs are still old, except for the original songs. Speaking of Summerfly, I wouldn't mind another song like that. It was one of my sister's first favorite songs of Hayley's. Most of her favorite songs are actually on Treasure... or Odyssey, depending on which version you're talking about. Oh, wait! There is something - Jolene!!
