There's always music arrangements and mixing to do, too.

Yes, Jim me too. I take the sound from those concert recordings and make CDs to play in the car. I have CDs of both the Union Chapel and Dublin concerts (well the UC ones wouldn't quite fit on one CD). And some of the tracks from many of her other concerts. Plus a "Yearbook" CD for every year since 2008 (and some years there are two, since there was too much material for one). But in the end they are amateur recordings, not up to the quality of professional studio ones. My excuse is that Hayley is such an awesome live performer that her quality always shines though despite the imperfections in the recordings. Hayley's next album has certainly not been rushed. My main fear is that it will be too good for the market. A strange comment you may think, but it happens. There are a long list of successful artists who made what they thought was their finest ever record, only for it to flop chart wise. Examples that spring to minfd are The Who and "I Can See For Miles" and, since the album is playing on my CD in the camper van as I write this, the Moody Blues "Watching and Waiting". I have always thought of that as the best song they ever wrote, and I read that the band themselves thought that too. But the single flopped. I guess it was just too spiritual, and spiritual stuff doesn't seem to do well in the popular music market. Hayley's spirituality for me comes across in just about every song she sings, it is what I love about her. But it seems it is lost on most people.

I don't know about spiritual songs not being popular. What about You Raise Me Up, which became popular with Josh Groban, and has since been sung to death by now? LOL

Hi Libby,
Well, lots of spiritual songs are sung often by crossover artists, but the only one I can recall ever making No. 1 in the pop chart is Amazing Grace. Played on the bagpipes! I think for a lot of people you have to be able to dance to music for them to like it.

Well, someone has been skating to Whispers in a Dream, which seems very spiritual to me, and skating is pretty close to dancing. Not that it's a #1 hit, of course.

Yes, that's true. I remember what that young lady skater did when Hayley sang the word "fall". Poor girl. Martin D

Hi, Back on October 29th, Hayley tweeted - NEW DEMOS IN MY INBOX. Never got to find out just what that meant, or its significance. Would the demos be lyrics that she had written, set to some basic piano or guitar music, and recorded, which she is now attempting to get fleshed out for her next album by a composer such as Moccio? Anyone know? BobS

Ross, what Hayley said to us in Madison when we asked her about the new album was that fingers and toes crossed, but she is hoping by the end of next year. But she is working with a lot of different people to try and get the best results, which requires a lot of work. So she is not going to rush it to meet deadlines here so no promises, but right now that is her goal.
So yeah, it sounds like a lot of new material, which are always my favorites on her albums.

I think it's safe to say we can now eliminate the possibility of a 2014 album.

I see 2015 to be a very busy and successful year like 2011, 2011, rugby world cup, new album with morricone and stuff. This time, not so big but still Cricket world cup, and new album and lots of collabs! So can't wait

Hello folks! I don't think there's any doubt that Hayley was working on the new album when she was in Los Angeles earlier this month. I'm getting excited too! Richard
