Yes, surprised it isn't sold out. But perhapsd it is because it isn't much advertised. A bit like Hushabye! Martin D

Hi Josef,
Welcome to our forum.
Can't help I'm afraid, but some of our London based members may be able to. I think some people from outside London have found somewhere to stay, perhaps a Premier Inn (these are usually fairly cheap).
I'm still trying to decide how best to travel there, and how near to the venue it will be possible to park park if I decide to drive. Or how late the trains run and where they go to if I don't.

Hi Martin The last train out of St Pancras International is at 00.15 getting back into Leicester at 02.10. If, for example, you caught the 10.57 down in the morning it would cost you £13.00 each way (just checked on www.thetrainline.com/buytickets/?T2ID=3605_200732091940 ) BUT prices are based on booking today so you would need to decide quickly what you want to do. Alternatively there are car parks in the area. The nearest appears to be close to Dalston Kingsland tube station which is two stops further out and would cost you £7.20 for the day. Hope that helps. Best wishes Grant

Martin D Hi Martin I would recommend you do not use the Trainline.com to buy the tickets. They will charge a £1.50 booking fee also a 2% surcharge on a credit card, although a debit card is free. I always use Southernrailway.com to buy tickets as no booking fee and no credit card surcharge. Both sites will post tickets for free. However I usual pick up my tickets from a ticket dispensing machine at a rail station, but not all stations have one. Cheers Tony

I use the Trainline because I find it the easiest site to use as a timetable BUT being an ex BR employee, I never buy train tickets i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif East Midlands Trains have their own site and are the service provider between Leicester and London. I've just checked their prices and they are cheaper at £12 each way but I don't know about fees and charges. Obviously pays to shop around! Cheers Grant

Thanks Grant,
That is a possibility but when I go to London by train these days I usually drive to Rugby and get the train into Euston from there. I can park for free in Rugby, whereas Leicester station is either a messy bus trip or expensive parking. And Rugby is very easy to get to, probably quicker than getting into Leicester. But the last train back to Rugby is 2330, so Leicester might be a better bet this time.
The alternative is to drive to one of the northern termini of the tube system. My daughter says she usually favours Stanmore, although that is a bit awkward for the Union Chapel. Does anyone know if there is free or affordable parking at Walthamstowe?

Does anyone know if there is free or affordable parking at Walthamstowe? Hi Martin Doubt you'll find anything much cheaper than I found at Dalston. Try googling "Walthamstowe car parking" sure you will find something. Cheers Grant

Hi Grant, Walthamstowe Central Station is £5.80 for 24 hours peak, and £3.20 off peak. Don't know what the definitions of peak and off-peak are. The last train for Walthamstowe leaves Highbury & Islington at 0046. However, I think your original idea of train from Leicester might be best. It will need a taxi home from Leicester station in the early hours, but might be easier overall. Just so long as Hayley doesn't keep us hanging about for too long. Martin D

Hi Martin
£5.80 is a good price for London BUT would there be any spaces at lunch time being a station car park? - the Dalston ones might be a better bet being public.
As for seeing Hayley afterwards - over all the concerts I've attended, on only two or three occasions has it been after midnight when I got away. Buxton and Northampton spring to mind.
Best wishes Grant

Hi everyone
It's so annoying that I can't make this concert, I won't be in the country. I really want to see Hayley live again, seems I'll have to wait for her next album. Hopefully some of you will be able to get good pictures or videos?
Susie
