In a couple of months it will be TWO YEARS since Hayley's last public concert in the UK. That is unprecedented.

It is now exactly one year since Hayley's last UK concert at Union Chapel, or indeed any public appearance. There were also December concerts in Ireland and Wisconsin but nothing since or planned (to our knowledge). What's more there has been no statement or even gossip as to why!
Admittedly, there have been numerous indications that Hayley has been in one or recording studios during this period but, again, no firm news on the intention or motive.
I would be the first to also point out that Hayley's private life is private and we should not delve or speculate but what I don't understand is that if Hayley is on some sort of sabbatical from public appearance then why not say that? We sincere and devoted fans would understand and be fully supportive. Meanwhile we get more and more frustrated!

Err.. Martin, the Union chapel concert was in 2013. That's TWO years ago. I'm not likely to forget that, my wife Sue was on her death bed at the time. It was a huge wrench to leave her with our daughter and go to the concert anyway, but my family encouraged me to go thinking that I needed a break, and I'm glad I did.
We all know Hayley worked her socks off for several years, and I'm sure we would understand if she told us she wanted to slow down or take a break. But she hasn't said that, so we don't know what is going on and as you say Martin, it is very frustrating.

What's more, we've all discussed this matter amongst ourselves many times. I thought things were getting hopeful when during the first week of October, her tweets seemed to be coming a little more often... that is, more than once a week.  Now, we're back to no tweets for over a week! What gives? Again I'm tempted to send her impatient tweets, but since, as far as we can tell, she's hardly even on twitter anymore (or so it seems), she probably wouldn't see it, anyway! |

Well years later, I have just come across this version of Dream A Little Dream Of Me recorded at Union Chapel by our illustrious Tourist, and I realised that I'd never uploaded it. Martin D uploaded his video at the time (cheers Martin!) but for some reason not me. But it's such a good performance of this marvellous 'standard', I thought we should have both recordings available - so I've edited and uploaded it today.
This performance of this song is for me one of Hayley's best - and it brings back the memories of a marvellous concert. Kerenza and her fellow accompanist (I forget her name, but she mimed the final word at the end!) seemed to be enjoying the concert as much as we were, I love Kerenza's little 'cue' interactions with Hayley!

I presume it was delayed by the Covid-19 outbreak.
