Phew, another busy day, so just getting round to uploading my next video from this concert. This one is my video of her first encore - Talk to Me, and as you will know if you have read the rest of this thread, the first time she has played guitar during a concert. youtu.be/x7dN214NZDkOnce again, it will improve once YouTube has finished processing it. It's interesting - I was reading over on Jonathan's forum that a member commented that they thought Hayley had changed her singing voice to a more pop sound. That's interesting because a lot of Jonathan fans probably haven't heard Hayley live since the Valentines Tour in 2009. They would probably be in quite a good position to notice changes. I was just listening to Talk To Me and thinking how different it is and what a change it is -- but at the same time remembering that it is actually 4 years old (!!!) and has been hiding away all that time. I wonder what else Hayley has hiding away?

However, I wouldn't say she ever had a truly classical voice at all. The first time I listened to 'Pure' on a listening post I thought it sounded more like folk music than classical. Now Hayley's voice is more mature it is very well suited to the material she sang at the Union Chapel, so the future is going to be very interesting indeed. Richard

Right, the one that I know some of you have been waiting for. Hayley's second encore "I Believe". This is the first and only time to my knowedge that Hayley has performed this song in the west. What's more, it is one of my own personal favourite Hayley songs, taken from my favourite Hayley album. After all the trials and tribulations of finding and losing love earlier in the album, her final track (on the ordinary version) is this wonderful song about the triumph of the human spirit over the pain and loss that we all suffer from in this imperfect world. It means a lot to me right now. This is another highlight of the show for sure. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Khhn2n3SRoAMartin D

Absolutely wonderful! I like this much better than the Taiwan performances. Hayley was in top form, and the orchestration wasn't as big. It was smaller and simpler, much more like the original (even if if does sound like the drummer was a bit overzealous). -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

The Union Chapel was a smaller venue. She only had a 7 piece band. But they were superb.

Yes, Hayley's voice is maturing which opens up a whole new musical genre for her. Whether it be pop or something else I would not object to Hayley following on from Eva Cassidy'. Martin

I thought I saw another keyboard at the right had side if the stage which was mostly obscured from where I was sitting. But I could be wrong, I don't remember hearing it very much. Perhaps it was a mixing desk after all.

Here is the last of my Hayley videos from this concert. Her third and final Encore. Songbird. Hayley received a full standing ovation, thoroughly deserved in my opinion. Fabulous! youtu.be/Au_RPn28j-8Martin D
