Hi Joe, There was nobody in the balcony at all, though I thought the ground floor was pretty much sold out. The show was not advertised, except on Hayley's fan forums and Twitter/Facebook. As Hayley remarked at the start, she did not feel nervous because she knew her audience was full of friends. And she did us proud. Probably the best conert I have ever been to in my life. And I have been to hundreds. Martin D Err... where did your post go? Sorry...I don't understand... I have not posted anything all day...and at 9 PM your time, I'd have just gotten home

Martin D My goodness Martin, that's the third video of that we now have! If nobody objects, I may try to combine them to make a 'super-duper' version - when I have some time! Cheers, Dave

Does anyone know if the guitar she used is the one Roger gave her? I don't believe it is the same guitar, Libby. If I remember, Roger's gift to Hayley was a lighter tan. At times like these, I miss Roger. If you are reading these great posts, Roger, I hope you are doing well, old boy.

Thanks, Dave already answered, and even showed me photographic proof! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThanks for all the videos and photos! Grant, your photos are gorgeous, but I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed not to get a close-up of that necklace! It looked pretty when I saw it in others' photos, but it was always a bit hidden in her jacket. Oh well, at least you captured the earrings very nicely.

No Libby, I think Martin means that 'her' performance with Bocelli was better..., that she had sung it better in that duet...If that's what he meant, I agree. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdxRmcgsKDQ This version's the best for me. Even when she performed it with Rhydian for the first time after many years, along with the few other times that followed up, she sings few portions differently, which were better in the first version. This part especially "Attraverso la mia voce si espande e amore produce", just listen to the old and new versions you'll no the difference , it was legato when she sang back then and now it's all loud abrupt notes, VOCE, si SPANDA E, AMORE...if you know what I mean. 1:56 in Martin's video and , And also "Ogni giorno una conquista la protagonista sar**SPAM? PLEASE REPORT sempre lei", Hayley sings it one breath from conquista, in a connected manner. 3:22. Sorry for being very critical , Everytime I try to convince myself that what Hayley has come down to is an improvement, by looking at all of your comments, and lie to myself that she's gotten a lot better over the years, I see an older video and in comparison it blows current ones out of the water. Don't gang up on me guys, it's just my opinion, while I'm learning to appreciate her current singing (I do loved a lot of the live performances this time), I think I'll always like her old songs sung back then. And this new kind of singing only fits for a few songs well. But no wonder that video has near 13.5 million views, that version's unbeatable. But I'm happy Hayley has given a lot for us to enjoy and is still doing more for a wider audience, who might like her new technique.

Hi Simba, To me their meaning (between them) is clear and simple: that the original Hayley-Andrea duet is better than all other performances of it since then (and I know you would agree with that). My view is that it would be hard even for those two ever to reproduce that magnificent performance, including Andrea himself. There's not really any need to analyze any of the detail though, to know that. You just know it. However, Hayley and Jonathan's performance of it was thoroughly enjoyable to me and, I am sure, the rest of the audience last Friday. It's hard to beat "live" live, if you see what I mean. And of course, watching an off-air recording of a performance from a major TV show with all its resources, including marvellous visuals of professional ice skaters (and maybe using prerecorded backing tracks made in more than one take, in a studio) is very different from... watching an amateur recording from the audience made via a camcorder of unknown quality, with audio taken from unbalanced loudspeaker output, with the performers singing 100% 'live' in a small venue with limited resources and acoustics. Not to mention the 'Bocelli factor'. Phew, now I need to take a breath! Cheers, Dave

Haha, though Dave there's no question of live vs. Recorded in the case of Hayley as we always knew she did it better live, which only few people can do. So clearly that wasn't the issue for me. And I've learnt to look past differences in qualities of recording, to talk about the singing alone And I'm happy I'm also able to extrapolate how this would've possibly sounded in a professional quality output, so you can be sure I'm not basing my comments on the shortcomings of this video. And if I'm correct, I don't think Hayley is singing very differently from her Rhydian performance, which was professionally recorded. One of the many comments regarding its dislike was, "Hayley shows plenty of emotion but, vocally, I don't think her performance was particularly good. I'm a huge fan of Hayley, so I'm quite disappointed by this. Her high notes sounded yelled and sometimes even flat. I don't like her pop-style singing." About them not being able to reproduce it, I don't think I agree, Watching Bocelli's recent performances I can only tell his part of it will be better. Not sure about the duet as a whole, and the hard to beat "live", live, hmm...I always thought it only gets better XD hehe. So I was sure it wasn't just me who noticed it, I think like we were discussing some where else, it's when she decides to sing classical in a pop way too, it loses its essence. And Dave, here's a poorer quality video of Hayley singing Canto Della Terra www.youtube.com/watch?v=fvy8OYGq_ow so now you know that recording quality/acoustics has got nothing to do with what I'm talking about. It's just the singing alone. Speaking of which, I think Hayley should record this song with Andrea Bocelli Nice to see that my comment has the top one there XD

Wow, thanks for the photos and videos- looks like an incredible concert I wish I could have been there . I love Talk to Me, sounds awesome on guitar, and I Know You By heart,- I think it is a beautiful song and I hope one day Hayley records the two songs. I think these two are my favourite ones at the moment. I think the duet vivo per lei was amazing too but I think the pronounciation could have been a little better in some places but still both Hayley and Jonathan were amazing. I still need to watch a few of the videos, hopefully I'll be able to watch them later- still got somewhere over the rainbow and who painted the moon black to watch.

I never got a clear shot of Hayley's necklace. The best I managed was this which I've blown up for you. As you can just about make out it comprised a large greenish stone. Best wishes Grant

I'd better upload another video hadn't I. This one was the closer for the first half of the concert. I love the way she sings this song. My Heart Belongs to You. youtu.be/6F7sFHnIhq0Martin D
