Certainly generated publicity for the show and everyone involved. I'm sure they'll pretend to be outraged, but it probably was the most interesting thing that happened!  |

Well, that's the first and last bit of footage I've seen of BGT this year. I avoid these "talent" shows like the plague. I'm sure that was a publicity stunt, probably to steal viewers from "dancing with horses on ice" or whatever rubbish is on the other channel.
I'm sure it won't do Raven's career any harm though. Any publicity is good publicity, and all that...

Anyone see this last night? www.bbc.co.uk/newsbeat/22831494 I was watching with my friends last night and I was shocked to see Natalie throw eggs at Simon Cowell, I'm not saying I wouldn't expect anyone to do it but I was surprised I recognised her and that she would do something like that, although it was quite amusing! Would like to say though, none of the other members of Raven were involved. |

It even made the news on the Breakfast Show in NZ. The presenters were surprised it has not happened before now lol.

The question is, how did she ever get there to do that? Where was security? It is just so obviously deliberately staged. Whether Natalie was used or just given the opportunity isn't clear. But nothing about that show is random, that's for sure.

But nothing about that show is random, that's for sure. Martin D I still think so too but I'm only about 90% sure. I've now watched a full recording of the incident in HD. Natalie was part of the backing ensemble on the right of the stage as you look at it and as the duo started the (fairly long) climax of their song, she suddenly put her violin on the floor. You could see that much, then she presumeably grabbed the box of raw eggs from her bag and calmly walked forward across the stage until she stood between the two singers, fully in the limelight. They carried on singing without apparently batting an eyelid. Stepping forward again, smiling all over her face, she started throwing the eggs at Cowell one by one and managed to hit him, brilliant aim I have to say! Bizarrely, it took security 12 seconds to get to her after she left her seat, almost as if they waited for her to empty the egg box, and Cowell sat in his seat until she had finished. The other panellists had long since got up and moved out of the way. So I still smell a rat as surely if he didn't know in advance, Cowell would have hot-footed it out of the way like the others, in case it was something lethal she was throwing? Also, the other male panelist got completely out of the way, leaving the two lady panelists closest to the action. If he'd thought there was danger, he would have pulled them further way I reckon, as it could have been anything - unless of course, it was all set up... So my money's on a set-up but either way, it was good for a laugh, Natalie was enjoying herself and so was the singer on the right who wasn't singing at the time and clearly loved it! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifDave |
