Hi everyone, Just to say that I love this song, it's my kind of Hayley! Well one of several kinds that I like, anyway (I also loved the completely different Amalia). Jillian your description is a good one but my opinion about it is very different: gentle, intimate and relaxing would be my summary. It's definitely my kind of Marmite! I will upload the presenter's remarks before and after it, together with as much of the song itself as I think I can reasonably get away with (less than a minute) some time in the next hour or two. Cheers, Dave

Okay, first off thank you for your description Jillian : D That one line which said it's just like Twinkle Twinkle little star, made me think Im not going to like it at all, because I thought it was a very averagely sung song. With such low expectations, I listened to it, but I LOVED IT! : D It's quite amazing! And the singing style absolutely works for this, and no she doesn't sing this like Twinkle Twinkle at all. I guess now I understand why I don't like twinkle twinkle, it's not the whispering sound, it's just that I felt it wasn't controlled well in that song, not enough modulation to drive that emotion she's trying ot bring. BUT she sounds so BEAUTIFUL when singing like this. I can see this song becoming a BIG HIT! And I'm sure it'll definitely become one song that I'm gonna be listening to a lot! And I can't wait for the video! EDIT: 3rd time listening to it, I'm almost in tears. This is definitely a song that'd make me stop to think. I don't know what's the big difference between this song and twinkle twinkle, but twinkle twinkle sounded fake and this sounded like Hayley to me, the real Hayley. I'm guessing it's just me, but I'm pleasantly happy! IT'S AWESOME! Great Job Hayley! I love you!

Thank you so very much, Richard, for putting up that address. That is an excellent piece, not only the new song, but the words of John Suchet, in that great-sounding voice of his, introducing it. (The song before it is nice, too.) Just checked Amazon, and see that "Hushabye" has gone up about 15 points (to 33, at the moment) since I looked last night. Good news! BobS

Hi again everyone, As mentioned above, the Sleep On segment including the complete song is available for the next 7 days at: ukrp.musicradio.com/classicfm/aod?episodeId=229053 ...starting 2m 36s in. Classic FM seem to have split the show today, to make it easier to find! If anyone outside the UK cannot play that link, I have uploaded the 'Sleep On' segment to our website BUT I had to shorten the song itself to under a minute (copyright) and give it a long fade-in and fade-out, hopefully to stay within my guidelines for Hayley samples. However, the clip does provide a very good feel for the song and is of higher technical quality than the Classic FM stream, so here it is: Sleep On segment from Classic FM (abridged) Cheers, Dave

Hi everyone
I just listened to the song, I love it too. It's definitely similar in style to Twinkle Twinkle I just want to see a full tracklist now.

I have to say I liked it very much indeed. It was beautifully sung by Hayley as you would expect and I particularly liked the interpretation and production.
But, of course, one great track does not make an album successful. Let's hope we are not disappointed.

Ok, time for my analysis: It is a lovely song: backing, melody, lyrics: impeccable. Could last a little longer, but the shortest of Hayley's songs, many times, are the sweetest. Hayley's singing technique and style: absolutely perfect for this type song. Perhaps not to be her "trademark sound," but it is a lovely colored variant that I believe I'll enjoy thoroughly. The lyrics are simple, yet speak an incredibly touching and effective message. Not to mention the extremely high production values. Overall, this song is amazing. By itself, at least. I know not what it will be like at full quality in an album setting, so I dare not leap ahead and judge the entire album based off 2 and 1/4 tracks. Imagine if they had released "O Mio", " Laudate", and "Wiegenlied" first for Odyssey. There probably would have been an entirely different reaction from the public. So I'm with Martin on this, and will not make final comments until I've listened to the album for a week, at least. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

I was able to listen just fine, no need to enter any postcodes. I really loved it too! What I loved most about it was Hayley's voice. Some might beg to differ, but I don't think I've ever heard Hayley sound so amazing before! Not just her voice, the way she used her voice, was absolutely wonderful. Her voice was so full of tender, raw emotion, and I was really blown away. It was also the softness of her voice, and then the sweet higher notes that did it for me. Hayley's voice has never had an affect on me quite like that before. Some of her songs themselves have affected me emotionally, Songbird in particular. But part of that was in the lyrics, as well as the way she sang. In this song, it was all in Hayley's voice! It was absolutely exquisite, and I am seriously hoping Hayley will sing songs like this in the future too. If she were to sing a sad song, or even a love song, in this way, she could easily bring people to tears.. in a good way! Well, I'm always blown away when I hear Amalia, and I think maybe that still gets "first prize" for me, as far as that goes, but the way she sang here sounded so much different than I've ever heard her sing before. Obviously, I love it, because I can't stop "talking" about it! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSo, I'll be listening to the song not to fall asleep (I never do that, anyway), but to enjoy Hayley's outstanding vocal performance! I disagree strongly that it sounds like Twinkle. It sounds absolutely nothing like Twinkle. It's not the least bit "twinkly" at all! I actually don't even think it sounds like a lullaby, necessarily. At least, not the way I usually think of lullabies. To me, lullabies have always been silly songs about babies falling out of tree tops. That song has always been too stupid for me to even enjoy Hayley singing it. I think the Royal family will love this song, and think it's completely worthy of a CBA for the best single!

It did when you first put it up. I just went back to listen to it again but now get "HWI - Can not find this page". Have tried it several times. Does it still work for you? BobS

Oops, sorry Bob - fixed! I changed the page title before posting the link here, then realised that it broke my previous Facebook link, so I changed it back again. But that broke the link here... I've put it right now, including in your post. Cheers, Dave

If you check the "Fans in TW" FB page, one of their members captured the track and uploaded it to the Tube. It's privately listed, so you'll have to follow the link from FB, as you can't search it and I can't post the link. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif
