Yep, all's right here! It's a little embarrassing, but I used to say it "Westerna". Wrong accent and everything. Took me a while to get used to saying it correctly. Although, I don't think my dad will get the knack of Hayley's last name any time soon. Oh well. In other news: Requests for songs on tomorrow's show are now being taken on Facebook!!! So give us a little help and comment! Pleeeeeease?? -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

Well, that's how I used to say it. How would I have known, since I had never heard anyone say it before? And Martin, what in the world are antepenultimate syllables? antepenultimate is the one before the one before the last. or DAAA dee dee. So conTROVersy, not controVERsy. If the word has less than 3 syllables, the stress should be on the first. Martin D

Sorry, but I've never heard it pronounced any differently either of the ways you said. I've only heard it the way I said. Maybe it's different in British English, as opposed to American English?

Sooo... How was the show Jenny? I only got to listen to the last 15 minutes or so. But I did tune in just in time for Jackie to finish "In the Arms of the Angels" and for me to hear my name and my request! Scarborough Fair. Odd they had never played any version of it... But that's fixed now! -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

But that's fixed now! -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThe show was good. Still too much Jackie, though At one point, Becky announced the next song as Hayley's "Scarborough Fair" but I guess got ahead of herself a little too excited ( ) because next Pat said something along the lines of "well, we'll get to that in a sec" and then announced a Mario Frangoulis song. Hayley came two songs later. They also played Mary-Jess' "Glorious", which I love! Also, I remember hearing Micheal Castaldo's "Nights in White Satin"- which was good-, Il Volo and The Texas Tenors or whatever their name was. I've heard of other "The -- Tenors" groups before but not them. We had another new listener, you may have noticed, who commented --"I was hoping for more diversity. Too much Jackie, not enough everyone else. Thanks for giving me the opportunity to listen. Good luck."-- which made me happy! My sentiments exactly! I hope Pat or Becky read this! And I hope others read it and didn't just roll their eyes and call the person a Jackie-hater or something... If things don't improve I was toying with the idea of sending them a message (not an angry rant, no worries!) on how I think their radio show won't last long if they let Jackie dominate the show! (Or I"ll say something less blunt) I understand if they want to please their viewers and sponsors by playing Jackie songs but really!! One song from a few other artists and a gazillion way too many Jackie songs! (I didn't count) i really hope the show gets extended to two hours because somehow I think they won't be able to get away with playing so much of one artist with such a long time-slot. Jenny♥

I suspect if they carry on like that the audience will get Jackie fatigue. I think it will have to become more balanced if it is to survive. And I hope it does, CC needs all the publicity it can get in the states.

Exactly what I was trying to say! Thanks Martin. I want so badly for this show to be a success! I think it has a huge chance and I think it could be a wonderful thing for Hayley and other CC artists who need more exposure in the US! I really don't want this opportunity to slip away for their sakes!!

I believe the radio station is basically catering to the will of its listeners and if Jackie fans dominate the listening body then it is only logical that the station will bend its program that way. To achieve better balance, will require fans of other vocalists to exert their will through greater fan representation as listeners. It would be interesting to know whether there would be an outburst about an inbalance if Hayley's music dominated the air time because Hayley fans dominated the listener body. Just food for thought.
Jenny A. has done a remarkable job and I can only say kudos for a job well done. I hope that your wish to see an expanded show to two hours actually materializes. Additionally I would like to see the listener base swell up to include many more Hayley fans and ditto for Sarah Brightman fans and fans of other CC vocalists.

Gordie does have a point. We wouldn't be so worried if it was lots of Hayley. Well, I would be, even though Hayley is my favorite. I wouldn't want people to get tired of it (although personally I couldn't imagine how anyone could tire of Hayley. ). But still, it would be good if they could balance things out a little, otherwise, just call it Jackie Evancho radio. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifSo, Jenny, what Hayley song did they play? Was it Scarborough Fair? I got a little confused about that. And who did they play that wasn't Hayley, when they said it was?

Yes, they did play Scarborough Fair. And, like Jenny said, they got a little excited and jumped the gun on announcing Hayley's song. Then they corrected themselves and played a Mario Frangoulis song, next a Jackie song, and finally re-announced Hayley at the correct time, right before her song. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif

I appreciate balance and variety very much!! I've sent a few other artists' albums to Pat and Becky, I've just sent more Hayley than others at the moment - her being my favorite and all. The only other places I've posted about the KITCFM CC Show was on the classical-crossover.co.uk forum and the sarah-brightman.com forum. The first of which didn't attract near as much attention as here and the second... well, I think they blocked my IP address and now I can't visit the forum... I'd been a member there for years and I was just trying to rally up some SB supporters but I guess they thought I was spamming Becky just sent me a FB message telling me first that they had trouble downloading the Hayley songs I had sent, explaining that that was the reason they didn't play my requested song (very sweet of her to apologize), then telling me that she has just ordered two Hayley CDs from Amazon and asked if I had any more album requests. I actually requested Sissel's 'Into Paradise' and a few other Sarah Brightman albums. I wish it were easier to get imported CDs for a nice price! There are many other CDs that I think would add very nicely to out CC playlist! Jenny♥

I believe that if interested CC vocalists took the time to even make one direct contact with the subject radio station, it would go miles in boosting the radio stations programming vision, generate balance and boost exposure for the artist. Imagine how the radio station would feel about their experiment if they were to receive direct contact by someone as notable as Hayley, Sarah Brightman, or katherine Jenkins. I know if I was with that radio station toying with a new program format it would fairly knock my socks off.
