Hello Libby! I'm in the same boat as you, so I'm waiting for Dave's recording too. No, it's not the Titanic! Richard

Thanks Joe for helping to make this happen I didn't manage to stay awake and listen but am looking forward to hearing the interview when Dave has uploaded it. Noticed some favourable comments on Twitter too. Best wishes Grant

Here are some comments from Twitter: And a tale of woe: When Dave has uploaded Hayley's interview, I'm sure somebody will post the link on Twitter. Richard

Now up! www.hayley-westenra-international.com/content/hayley-interview-kitc-fm-audioHad to replace the full songs with clips (sorry!) and have tried to balance the sound a bit better (it was all over the place at the start) but the hum near the beginning will have to stay for now and I've done what I can! Have to rush now, kids tro collect from school! Enjoy (let me know if anything's wrong, haven't even played it through!!!) Dave

Hello Dave! I'm listening now. There's a strange repeat for a few seconds at the start of the interview, but that may be the echo previously mentioned. Thanks for recording and uploading the interview, and also thanks to Joe for the wonderful idea. I'm sure Hayley and Valerie will be very impressed too. Best wishes, Richard

Hi Richard, Back! Yes, what you refer to is the echo mentioned by Paul, I lowered its volume so it's less noticeable. Also, some of the songs were distorted, especially Whispers, they clearly had some issues with the sound levels so I have replaced all the songs with 40 second samples (of the same songs) that we've used previously for the website. Paul thank you very much for listing what was played and when, it was very useful when I came to make the adjustments. Apart from the volume adjustments and shortened tracks, everything that was said and played is included. Cheers, Dave

Yes, it sounds great Dave! I'm listening again. It's great that they started off with "Whispers In A Dream". Very magical start. I felt like I was entering a dream! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifJenny♥

I do point the labels out I was unable to record it as I was at a laptop without my record programme facilities. it does make it handy to find a specific item or at least it's approximate location. So ! What was the Al Pacino reference about ? anyone Know ?

So ! What was the Al Pacino reference about ? anyone Know ? Becky asked her about the American Dreams show Hayley made an appearance on several years ago (One of Becky's favorite shows, apparently). That led to Them discussing movies she did music for in the past and Hayley mentioned Al Pacino (The Merchant of Venice?). Jenny♥

Hi All,
I had to be up for work early, so didn't listen to the show live. Instead I left my newly repaired wine damaged XPS laptop recording and went to bed with fingers crossed.
As it happens I ended up with a good recording of the whole thing. I had the same problems as Dave with the sound though, some distortion at the start and a background hum that eventually stopped.
Finally got round to listening tonight. An excellent interview I thought. I was wondering about progress with the new album.
I looked up Gilchrist Oregon. Not a very big town I suspect, and was originally composed of lumberjacks, a "company town". But this station seems to have been embraced by CC fans all over America, and where one goes, others will follow. So it was good for Hayley and good for the genre that she did this interview. I thought Pat and Becky were genuinely impressed with Hayley, and enjoyed talking to her. These two are clearly learning fast about CC music and the artists involved - it has already come a long way since its origins as "The Jackie Evancho Show". Even talking about Siobhan ad Toni Gibson. They are certainly getting there. Great to see it.

This was a wonderful interview, the best one, and possibly the longest one, she's done for an American station, at least for a very, very long time. I know there was that one on NPR stations last year about Paradiso, but that wasn't quite as long, and of course, it was mostly about the album, not as many different topics. So, this was amazing! Thanks, Joe! Can't thank you enough! I was very pleased to have my question answered! Of course, not many people asked any questions, so that helped! I was disappointed that the question about the David Foster never got answered because the hosts asked something about the countries they're touring in, before she could answer the original question! I wonder if we'll ever find out how it came about? Oh, and it was so satisfying to hear them playing Whispers in a Dream, and saying that Paradiso is a beautiful album, knowing that they have it because I gave it to them! It was great to hear She Moved through the Fair, too. One of my favorites from Odyssey.
