Yay for my 10th post, found a little more on the China concert. Finding anything on this concert / tour is seriously testing my forensic investigation skill. It looks like this is only the 2nd article with regard to the concert. Every website is just re-posting the same article over and over again, some in full some in pieces. Anyway back to this article summary, the "planned" tour is supposed to also include UK, Australia, New Zealand and other countries. This "Wonderful Harmony" tour is to celebrate the 4th anniversary of the Beijing Performing Group. In the past, it had organized other successful performances such as the Andrea Bocelli Beijing concert in 2011. This tour is promoting the harmony / blending between western music and traditional Chinese music, kind of like "East meet West" This is the Google translated article (could not even get Hayley's name right ) : translate.google.ca/translate?hl=en&sl=zh-CN&tl=en&u=http%3A%2F%2Fent.ynet.com%2F3.1%2F1303%2F25%2F7909241.htmlAnd the original: ent.southcn.com/8/2013-03/25/content_65902170.htmHowever between the two news articles and the concert poster, there are no other tour dates given and no further details on the China concert beyond what is already known, which isn't much either and have yet to be confirmed. If those countries listed really are the places on this tour, I can totally see Hayley doing all of them.

That would be very exciting if the tour actually came to Australia. I'd definitely go!
But I guess we'll have to wait and see whether the articles are in fact correct.
Cheers, Jillian

I don't suppose the "other countries" would include the US. I'm guessing they mean other Asian countries, maybe?

Well Libby, Your wish "might"[/color] just come true if the latest news from China, just 12 hours ago, is an indication of what's to come. I don't suppose the "other countries" would include the US. I'm guessing they mean other Asian countries, maybe? According to this article the *possible* tour locations for the 1st round now includes UK, Spain, Italy and US. The translation is pretty good relatively speaking. This is purely *guessing / wishful thinking* on my part . I think the organizers are waiting to see how well the April 29 concert in Beijing will go before they commit to more details. IF the tour does move forward and the partnership between Ding Yi and Hayley does continue, it would explain why Hayley spend so much time in the studio recording now. A world tour like this will certainly take up a lot of time and will not leave much for anything else.

Wasn't the Paradiso tour a world tour? Hayley has been around the world more times that most of us have been around our local block! Martin D

The US would be great, but I have my doubts that it would come very close to me. Maybe California... but the problem would be convincing others to go all that way to see not only Hayley, but a Chinese classical singer they may or may not like. I know I would like it; I thought he sounded good in the duet they did together. The lady from BC that I'm friends with on Twitter indicated she might be willing to go to any concert that comes near us, so I might be able to make plans with her. Still, we don't for sure that Hayley is joining him for the whole tour.

Hi Libby,
Let's think about this logically. I guess Ding Yi is relatively unknown, I had never heard of him until he did that duet with Hayley. Hayley is well known in some parts of the world, so touring with Hayley in those parts at least would be a good way of introducing him. In places where Hayley is unknown, he would be better touring with someone else better known. Unfortunately. I doubt that Hayley is well enough known in the USA (but I'd be delighted to be proved wrong). So if he goes there her might perform with an American singer instead - Jackie anyone? or someone well known ovw#er there like Katherine Jenkins.

I would have thought they would be on the list. If they were going to have Katherine I would have thought they would have started with her. I doubt that Jackie is up to doing a "World Tour" yet due to her age. Nobody wants her overworked at such a tender age. Perhaps they just wanted the best.

Aww.. jimg. I was just about to point out Ding Yi's involvement in Australia, you beat me to it lol. I think the proper title for him was principle tenor at Opera Australia. I don't know if he still in it as the last production of him and Opera Australia was in 2006's Norma. Seriously though, try finding him (or anyone without a proper English name) on Google is not really working. As Ding Yi was "the chief State Opera tenor of Sydney in Australia" And Hayley had a successful tour there and with Hayley's popularity in New Zealand and Japan. I'm going to be logical by not worrying or speculating anymore until I see a more official announcement... in plain English.

Hi everyone, This Beijing concert on 29 April is now confirmed by Hayley's management. Specifically: - Hayley will be appearing in concert alongside Chinese tenor Ding Yi with an orchestral accompaniment at the People’s Great Hall, Beijing, on Monday 29th April.
At the moment, this is the only one of Ding Yi's concerts at which Hayley will appear. Dave

Hello Dave! I've added this concert to the 2013 schedule and posted a link to this thread on our Facebook page. I haven't done anything on our website because I'm struggling to make sense of the links re tickets etc. Richard
