I watched it again, and to me, the music sounds like normal concert music. There's nothing wrong with adding a little beat to a song. It's not like they were pounding it like crazy. I guess some of you wouldn't be able to handle the type of concerts Josh Groban has, even if you did like his voice. Because he has a full band, with drums, a couple guitars, a piano, the works. He even gets on the drums and plays a little himself! Of course, I've been to concerts that are a lot noisier than Josh Groban. So, this was pretty tame, in my mind. I just listened to the newer one, it sounds just as good, though I thought her voice sounded thinner there. I noticed the drum less, and the other music more which is good, I guess. However, I thought her vocals sounded a tiny bit more powerful and passionate in the first one. And I was also hoping Frank would have gotten the entire song this time, but the same part of the beginning was cut off again. But they're both outstanding performances!

I actually rate Hayley's performance of BOTW as one of THE best performances of the song I've ever heard!

Hi Libby, I'd have to agree, actually -- which is something seeing that it is an often covered song. And that's based off a fan recording at a concert. I can only imagine how great this would sound in real life or professionally recorded on a CD. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifCheers, Jillian

Hello folks! I prefer Hayley's performance of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" at Kaohsiung too. The sound balance is much better, with the drums less prominent. Richard

Cheers, Jillian I'm with you both on this one despite the fact that my computer doesn't like to stream videos at the moment and insists on inserting a clicking sound at intervals! But yes, it suits Hayley's voice very well and I wouldn't mind one little bit if it just happened to be on the new album i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes Grant

Brilliant! Just what I was waiting for, but I expected her to do her high vocalese bits, it'd be nice if she went high more often live, when it's there in the original recording.

I actually rate Hayley's performance of BOTW as one of THE best performances of the song I've ever heard! Only "One Of". I though it was the best I ever heard. And yes, I think I prefer the Kaohsiung one. And I Believe too. Is this the first video we have ever seen of Hayley performing this live. I think so. Thought the backing sounded slightly off though. I think this is the first time she's singing it live? XD Oh and Sissel's and Russel watson's version of BOTW was great too One of my fav. versions. Something tells me I'd have liked BOTW much more (as osm as it is already) if hayley sang it the way she sang Scarborough fair in her album Celtic Treasure. Somehow she captures all the mysticness of simon and garfunkel's pieces by singing in full legato, and makes it much better in the end.

Of course Sinom and Garfunkel didn't write Scarborough Fair. It's an old English folk song, originally popularised by English folk singer Martin Carthy back in the 1960s (I have seem Martin Carthy perform, but can't remember whether or not he did Scarborough Fair) and S & G's arrangement is a bit of a departure from that which was mixed in with another song, which is why I suspect their version was called Scarborough Fair/Canticle. Bob Dylan also did a heavily bent version called "North Country Fair" with Johnny Cash. Getting back on topic, I love to hear Hayley sing with power, it is just something about the way she uses her voice in passages like the end of BOTW that I find thrilling. I'm afraid Art Garfunkel doesn't do that for me, much as I enjoy the S & G version!

I personally prefer Charlotte Church's version of BOTW, but I think Hayley might have just bumped her down. -Taylor i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifP.S.- Just listened to "I Believe". I honestly think there is no word to describe how awesome this is. It's just... Super, fantastic, marvellous, fabulous, amazing, and everything in-between!

Martin D Martin, "one of" could easily mean she's the top-rated one, but I have heard some really good renditions in the past. I agree, Russell Watson's performance is pretty high up there. The one I heard is a really emotional, powerful performance, so because of that, I wouldn't put it very far behind Hayley's. I used to like CC's version, too. I mean, I can still enjoy it now, but after hearing Hayley's version.. seriously, what is the point of listening to CC's version when you have a version way better than that? That's true for any song that both of them have done. I would far rather hear Hayley sing them.

Hello folks! There's been a huge reaction to Hayley's performance of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" in Kaohsiung on our Facebook page overnight, so I've posted Frank's video of "I Believe" there too. We've also had a couple of dozen new 'likes' since yesterday. Richard

Been a bit busy lately but finally watched BOTW and I Believe. Excellent. I'm so glad she's singing I Believe live. They should release a new live album from the Taiwan tour
