Thanks guys, I guessed right but wanted to be sure before clarifying the ticket area descriptions, so I've now edited my post accordingly. Hey Joe, it's a mere 105 dollars with the early-booking "fans" discount! Of course if it was a normal Hayley concert, it would be cheaper still. I've added this event to the website so it's easier to find: here's the poster (click for larger). Cheers, Dave

I'm so sad that 1. It's in the middle of the school year 2. My Thanksgiving break is over 3. I'm too far away 4. It's too expensive for a college budget! Haha. But I'm glad she's coming back to the States again. <3 Caite

I'm looking at the Hall's seating chart on their website, and I'm having a hard time matching the sections listed by Valerie to what it shows on the chart. I assume the dress circle is the part on the floor closest to the stage? If so, I find it odd that they're cheaper than the stuff farther back. Sure, being up higher can help you see better, but only if you're in the first few rows. The prices aren't nearly as bad as I thought they would be, especially with the discount. And Hayley singing half a dozen songs! That's great! But I don't really think it's going to work out. Everything sounds so complicated. I fee like I'd have to travel with someone who knows NY, or something, and although my dad has been a lot of places in his life, he's never been to NYC, and his travelling was when he was in the army mostly, not for tourism. Otherwise he and my mom did trips that were more geared towards hiking, rather than walking through huge cities like NYC. I really do hope the MTC invites Hayley soon, because it's hard to resist these rare and exciting opportunities to see Hayley in the US. But even that might be hard, because it's a bit of a competition to obtain tickets. This will be the 2nd time this year that she'll have performed in the US! That's more than she's done since her CW days! I hope this is a good sign of things to come.

Thanks for sharing Joe.
Never bothered to search previously and it was nice to look at the inside of Carnegie. Fabulous Hall. Must create the atmosphere inherent in my emotions caused by simply entering a theatre.
Imagine Hayley, what age was she, 16/17 entering that stage for the first time? Awesome indeed.

It's Tuesday and I haven't finished reading the Sunday Paper but I hope to start thinking about this concert pretty soon. This weekend hopefully.

Oh, so the "good seats" are in the prime parquet section. I tell you, that PDF chart is very hard to figure out. Tim, I hope you're able to go, even though I most likely won't get to meet you, but it would be nice if at least one HWI member could go, so we could have a decent report. I assume no photography is allowed. But we at least need to have someone tell us what songs she sings and what dress(es) she wears! I'm thinking that green dress she wore recently would be nice, or maybe the Amanda Wakeley red dress. Or something new entirely. Something Christmasy. Unless she wants to go back to some of her older dresses, like the red one with the flashy beading on it. I don't want her to wear that white Temperley dress though. Unless she has her hair like she did on Songs of Praise in 2010. But really, at Carnegie Hall, she needs to wear a beautiful gown. I'm rooting for the green, and possibly the shorter red. Or maybe even the red Xterity dress. Okay, Hayley? i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif LOL She seemed to go by my "terms" for the last 2 concerts here; in Boston I recommended the blue Amanda dress, and she wore it; for WA DC, I suggested she wear something white or navy blue for Memorial day, and she wore white! So who knows, maybe she read the forum first! Or maybe she has the same sense of color as I do. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I'm extra picky about what she does in the US in particular, because I want everything to be just perfect when she's here.

PBS composer... I hope that means this show will be on PBS! PBS loves to ask for donations, why don't they ask for donations to help people with autism (in addition to their usual stuff)? Sounds like a good idea to me...

Hi Libby I think the 'PBS composer' refers to other his other works. www.timjanis.com/news.phpAlso I didn't know the American Christmas Carol was a travelling show... there are shows in New Hampshire and Maine before and after Carnegie Hall (without Hayley etc.)
