Oh dear, the freak show is back! It's really all about Jonathan Antoine's 'figure', but he does have a good voice. Richard

Aghhh. Simon Cowell is such a disgusting sample of humanity, the worst type of parasite. Why does he feel the need to degrade people and their efforts.. and then he tells Jonathan to dump Charlotte. reminded me of why I hate this type of programme. The Voice is a better programme format, more nurturing..

Simon Cowell should be deported to Korea... I mean North Korea! Richard

Yes, I think I need to start a thread for The Voice if nobody else has yey. That one at least is about music rather than celebrity.

Simon Cowell should be deported to Korea... I mean North Korea! Richard he should be deported slowly, over a period of several weeks, just like the show, which inflicts the maximum amount of pain, slowly, One piece at a time, starting with the toes and working upwards.. Nasty, little minded man, worked with Rhydian and still said he never heard Welsh-language hymn Calon Lan before.

Even worse, he cons lots of people into buying second rate music, and praises talentless so-called artists to the skies. When he occasionally finds one with talent, they are given the wrong songs and often get eliminated early. Or if they do get through and win, they make one record and are quietly dropped. Glad The Voice is on, I can avoid BGT now!

He's a very long way from Pavarotti. Larry

I watched the show Saturday and saw them perform I think he had an incredible voice, perhaps not quite to Pavarotti's standards but nonetheless amazing especially considering his age. for me it makes a refreshing change to see someone around my age listening and enjoying that style of music- classical -enough to sing it themselves! I think it's just such a shame he has to go on a show like BGT to get any recognition but even so it's not all bad as it gave singers like Faryl Smith the promotion and everything they needed. I agree 100% agree with you about Simon Cowell as most of it is true but I think it's wrong to have a go at the contestants after all once on the show they're just doing what they're told to. I think that's not fair Richard, ^ I have battled with my weight for a long time and find comments like that unfair, not funny at all and too personal. I also have read quite a few articles about him and he's suffered from depression as a result of bullying about his weight and had to be taken out of school because of it - I know you can say well that's just the media trying to make a story to promote him but to me he seems really sincere and I can certainly relate to his lack of confidence. I think he'd make a wonderful singer though with some more of the right training to improve his technique and if BGT is what he has to do to achieve it then so be it- it worked for Paul Potts and Faryl Smith, in my opinion he is much better at 17 than Paul Potts and certainly better than Susan Boyle, I don't see his looks have anything to do with his talent. other than his performance I cant stand the show so won't be watching anymore, I don't think I could put up with seeing Simon Cowell onscreen without having a desperate urge to hit him!

Simon Cowell is 2nd on my list of least favourite people, surpassed only by that other self-seeking billionaire, Mr Rupert Murdoch. (Needless to say, I don't have Sky TV or broadband. )

Wow. Maybe we should rename this thread “I Hate Simon Cowell”. He's not my favourite person, but this thread has gotten kinda off-topic.

Well, I watched TheVoice UK again this evening. Forget BGT - the quality of music is vastly better om The Voice and the judges/mentors actually make intelligent comments as if they know what they are talking about.
When, on BGT, did any judge talk about a singer's control or diction?

Jonathan Antoine has an absolutely unbelievable voice, especially for a seventeen year old. I think it's a terrible shame that he has no confidence in his own ability. If he can start to believe in himself, he'll win for sure. If not, his lack of self belief may let him down at the wrong moment.

Hi Elliott,
From what I have seen he is not half bad. And on the wrong show!
