Hayley is expected to sing at the Dawn service on the 25th in Wellington which will be televised. This website is about Anzac Observance in NZ and around the world. www.rsa.org.nz/remem/ANZAC_2007.htmIt does not mention Hayley but may be of interest .On TV One there is a dawn to noon Anzac Day Special it is called The Nation Remembers ?Anzac Day Special 2007 and will begin with a live Dawn Service and conclude with the live National Wreath-laying Ceremony from the War Memorial in Wellington. In between they will have a studio host and guests and play a range of relevant documentaries . Belinda

In the thread dealing with words and phrases we use I confessed to having been called to active duty with the army for Operation Desert Storm and being posted to Alexandria, VA. For 2 months of my active duty stint I worked in the Pentagon in Arlington, VA. In the Pentagon one will find exhibits that pay tribute to various military subjects, sometimes in obscure places. However, very prominently placed in the "A" ring where folks are sure to encounter it is a display in tribute to ANZAC (Australia and New Zealand Army Corps). I just thought folks in Australia and New Zealand might like to know about it, since they'll probably never actually see it. I might add that the display in tribute to our own Medal of Honor and its awardees is somewhat hidden in comparison this one.

Hi Ed. Thanks for explaining ANZAC ( Australia and New Zealand Army Corps) I never knew what it stood for. comet A great bunch of guys and girls who arguably made some of the greatest sacrifices of the war if only because they couldn't have been further away from the conflict yet made it their fight too. I have still not had a chance to visit the new NZ War Memorial properly but it looks a very fine tribute. Peter S.

Hello everybody. I've found an article about last year's ANZAC Day Dawn Service at the Cenotaph in Wellington, with photographs and audio clips:- www.scoop.co.nz/stories/HL0604/S00300.htmLooking at the programme, the service seems very similar to the Remembrance Sunday Service at the Cenotaph here in London, but much earlier in the day. Best Wishes, Richard

Hi, I just spotted this in NZs TV Guide - the highlighted part says "well-known NZ singer". Could one of them be Hayley? ? You decide!! Dori

Absolutely !! She's even the best singer I know in the galaxy. Anyway, I'm sure she will be part of this event as it is a very important day for NZ and given that she's there, why not participate?!

Could this be it? yahooxtra.net.nz/tv/0,,14684-7205638,00.html Dori Hi Dori,I would think there is a good chance that Hayley could well be featured on both channels,if you have two TV's you could watch either of them.I would think TV One will probably be the main coverage from Wellington. Keep the remote handy cheers, Rodders
