Too see the TV 3 news item on Hayley go to the following address and select the ANZAC commemorations around the country video. You can see it in broadband or dialup. Hayley singing the anthem didn't go well with some people who thought the occasion should have been more solemn. www.tv3.co.nz/News/NewsArchive/tabid/193/Default.aspx

Hello everybody! Many thanks to everybody who posted the various articles. There are lots of reports on Google this morning, but they are all very similar. I haven't had any success finding the video clips of Hayley, so I hope somebody can post the various clips together somewhere, please. Best Wishes, Richard

Is there any way someone could take that video that Ross sent, real quick, before it goes. It's quite a lengthy report on Hayley and she talks to the cameras briefly. Much better than One News! Dori

Hi everyone. I've droppe din quickly and it is marveloous to see so much about Hayley at home which i am anxious to catch up on as soon as I can. For now, I was prompted to drop in because of the news reports and in case it isn't already up somewhere (probably is!) I wanted to post this extract from the NZ Herald. Wellington Returned Services Association President David Moloney said attendances at the Anzac Day service had been steadily growing over the years, but he had not expected this morning's bumper crowd. "It's much larger than we have had for some years. I think Hayley Westenra helped pull a lot of them in." Cheers for now. Peter S.

I haven't had any success finding the video clips of Hayley, so I hope somebody can post the various clips together somewhere, please. Hi Richard, Ross found a great video covering Hayley's Anzac appearance and the direct link is HERE. You see her singing a little bit the Anthem and Danny Boy; and then she's signing autographs, taking pictures...well, the usual stuff. If you still can't find the video; I made a few captures of her singing the national anthem.

Hello Stephany, you're a star! Many thanks for posting the direct link to the video, and also for the wonderful screenshots. Hayley's performances were excellent as always, and the negative comments were totally unjustified. Hayley is now generally accepted as New Zealand's National Treasure, and everybody at the Dawn Service should have been proud to see her singing their National Anthem. There was a Dawn Service at Hyde Park Corner in London this morning, but it was far too early for me. I had a look there around midday, and saw the wreaths that were laid at the Australia and New Zealand Memorials. Best Wishes, Richard

Hi Richard, I agree with them on one thing, though. It would be difficult for me to sing along with Hayley simply because I wouldn't want my bad singing to overcome her gorgeous voice. Best wishes, Stephany

Hi Stephany,
Many thanks for the link to this video.
It is disappointing that Hayley's appearance was not appreciated by everyone. For someone of her age to want to be involved in such an occasion is commendable. Isn't that what remembrance is all about?
Roger
