Hey guys, I just checked my E-mail and Amazon.com sent me a notice saying that Hayley's Christmas album, My Gift To You, has just been shipped to me. I can't wait until it gets here!!! Yes, I know I'n a little late, first because the album came out a few years ago and I just recently heard of Hayley, and second because...it's not Christmas anymore. Her music and just her as a person, is awesome. OH MY GOSH, i can't wait! Kimmie

Hello Kimmie! I guarantee you will enjoy this album, although Hayley was only fourteen when she recorded it. Listen out for her younger sister Sophie, then aged eleven, on 'Do You Hear What I Hear?' and 'Through These Eyes'. Best Wishes from London, Richard

I'm not particularly religious, but Richard, AMEN to that! When will Sophie come out with a CD, or has she already and I've not found out about it? She is a rare talent as well.

Hello Ed! I believe Sophie is hoping to release a CD eventually, but wants to complete her education first. Sophie has her own sub-board in the Other Music section HERE. Best Wishes from London, Richard

Hi Geralynn and thanks Stephany for getting us back on topic! Copies of "My Gift To You" are always being advertised on Ebay, you may pick up a bargain there. Also, I've just checked www.Amazon.com and they have quite a few in stock at a reasonable price. Happy shopping! Grant

No bargains on Ebay at the moment geralynn so Amazon.com would seem to be your best option. Grant

I orderd it from tesco.com and they said its been delayed, and delayed again. Wonder if I should cancel and order somewhere else? Whats the best place to get it from? I ordered australian import and it seems like it may not arrive.
Heard clip of "You'll never walk alone" and really want this. Especially since it has "Somewhere over the rainbow" on it. Any other place that sells it and it will come without me paying too much for it?

Hi David, Like Hayley's emponymously titled album, 'My Gift To You' was only ever released in New Zealand. Therefore, it is only going to appear elsewhere in the world as an import and the price is likely to reflect that. You may find it a little cheaper elsewhere but it is currently available at amazon.co.uk at £16.48 Of course, this is well worth getting because Hayley's younger sister, Sophie, can be heard duetting on two of the tracks! Hi David, I suggest you order it from Opuscds.com. It's a NZ store and it isn't expensive at all even with shipping costs. It took them three days to process my order but then it went very quickly because I received "My Gift to You" and "Hayley Westenra" only SIX days after they had sent it. I was very impressed because they are at the other side of the world!! Best wishes from Paris, Stephany

OK, just got it and noticed how "stonger" or "operatic" her voice sounded then. You notice this in "Silent Night" compared to the version on PUre Special Edition or whatever. Her first version of "Pokarekare Ana" is very good, not same as original version of Pure one. Like th Vocalise, without the vocalise part.
Somewhere over the rainbow is good. I like it, especially when the mandolins play at around 2:43 which is very nice, and soothing. She could probably sing this better now. Would be nice to hear a version of the song with no lyrics, just the melody played with thyose mandolins and strings, that would be nice.
Song "Mary, Did You Know?" sounds different than I thought, sounds better on Pure special edition.
"Do you Hear What I Hear?" is very good, especially with Sophie. Love hearing Sophie. Hope she releases an albumn some day. Two talented sisters, what a combination.
Still, I am glad I got this.

I think Opus CDs is dead. It's a shame, b/e it would be great seeing their prices and selection!

Hi Northern Lights, Try Smoke CDs.com who, I believe, are the same company as Opus. They currently have MGTY at NZ $26.95. Roger
