I don't have enough money to buy it, but I love the samples! Why don't you add all her samples from here (and 7digital.com as well!) onto HWI- that would make a great site even better!
EDIT: I changed the currency into USD, and their really cheap! I'll never be able to thank you enough! Do they have free shipping to the U.S.?

Hi Northern Lights, In the early days of HWI, we hoped to include short clips of all songs but, sadly, that was never possible largely because of time limitations. Consequently, we only have five clips from MGTY at the moment. Sorry! It seems that Smoke CD's estimated shipping costs to the UK are NZ$12.65 (I only found that out by starting the ordering process). I imagine they would be about the same to the US. I hope you manage to get a copy eventually. Roger

Hi everyone I have always wanted a copy of My Gift To You. Knowing that from time to time they come up on Ebay, I found a copy - put in a bid for it and forgot all about it I was surprised to find that a few days later I had won the item Anyway, its coming from NZ - the owner says its never been played and still in the original wrapping. He says its a NZ only release -from the summer 2001. Are they not all NZ only releases - or do I have something different ? I cant wait for it to arrive now - just in time for Christmas Mark

Hi all! I bought my copy of "My Gift To You" in Christchurch at Sounds. It's really a gem and you won't be disappointed! There can't be a better CD to get into Christmas mood. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifThomas

Are they not all NZ only releases...? Yes they are, Mark. As with the eponymously titled album, MGTY was only ever released in NZ. Copies that appear in stores in London and elsewhere are imports. I know you will enjoy it when it comes! Roger

Mind you, I only got this a couple of months back myself. Must admit the quality isn't very good...the case was cracked and the thingy in the middle (which holds the CD in place) was broken. However, the music is excellent! I think Hayley's vocals improved a great deal from her debut and it's only a small step from this to 'Pure'. Worth getting for PA and 'Through These Eyes'. Just think, once you have this, the next time you meet Hayley you will have something else for her to sign! Regards Bill

Hello Bill! 'My Gift To You' was only ever released in New Zealand, as was 'Hayley Westenra', but both albums are quite easy to obtain on import. I found them in HMV in London back in December 2003, and I still see a few copies in the stores here from time to time, although 'My Gift To You' is the rarer of the two. Richard

Hello Everyone
Not sure whether or not this is the correct place to put this, but I thought I would share with you, something I learned today about one of the tracks.
A friend from a local church (not my church), who's wife I introduced to Hayley told me that they had decided to include "Mary Did You Know" in their 'Nine Lessons and Carols' Christmas service.
This is the first occasion, I have heard of this song being sung other than by Hayley. Apparently they had to get the music from America.
Hopefully, if I am back from Bath in time, I will go to this service just to hear that song. As a matter of interest, the choral soloist performing it will sing A Capella.
Best wishes Grant

Having finished at work for Christmas, what better CD to unwind to as I check out the forum?
When I received this CD a few months ago I only gave it a couple of cursory listens, so I'm pleasantly surprised how good it actually is. I didn't remember how mature her voice was at just 14. I think this CD is in for several more plays over the next week.
Nice to hear Sophie on a couple of tracks - she must have only been about 11 at the time. I think it's also a great version of Morning Has Broken.

Notable artists who have recorded it are Reba McEntire, Kathy Mattea, and Kenny Rogers. Of these, Reba's version is probably the best, but none of these hold a candle to the least of Hayley's versions of this song in my opinion. Jon Jon

Jon Thanks Jon That's interesting, I do know of the three artists you mentioned, but haven't heard any of them sing it. Incidentally, I did get back in time for the service and thoroughly enjoyed Diane's A capella performance, though I didn't tell her that I had gone especially to hear her sing it, perhaps I should have done. Best wishes Grant
