If that performance with the orchestra was a taste of what is in store for us on the Paradiso tour, I can't wait!!!!
And yes, from my limited knowledge of such things that dress looked very Italian to me. And Hayley looked stunning in it. I can see why her more usual dresses wouldn't have worked so well on this occasion.
Mind you, it was clearly set up to make Hayley look good, not that she needs any help. Did you see what her duet parner was wearing - no glamourous dress for her....

Aaaaah, that could explain why the TV channel blocked our videos of it, they may have already decided to have them on Benedetta's official channel. It's a pretty new channel and looks very messy to me www.youtube.com/user/benedettacaretta due to the background wallpaper - flashy yes, but very hard to read and navigate (Simba you would know!). Also, why have they masked 25% of the vertical space of all four videos with big banners, to make it look like some kind of faux-cinemascope? It cuts a lot of the top and bottom of the videos out though! But anyway, it had me re-checking my own aspect ratios (I am very particular about getting them right) and I got them slightly wrong, so I have increased the width by 7% and re-uploaded them. Martin D I think the difference is that Hayley was the special star, while Benedetta is probably still more of an ordinary girl, and still quite young. And stars do usually dress up very nicely. Hi Dave, It is their loss!! These are stunning performances - only just got round to looking at them. I was moved to tears - has Hayley won the hearts of yet another nation as she did in Taiwan when she first sang "The Moon Represents my Heart" in mandarin? She both looked and sounded fantastic. The girl she sang with is a decent singer, only 15 years old, and it is a bit unfair to put her up against Hayley like that I thought, then ask her to sing in English. But seeing them together only showed us once again just how good Hayley really is...Couldn't agree more. Her performance with Bendetta just showed how much Hayley has matured as a singer and also as a person. Once upon a time, not very long ago, Hayley was just as tiny as Bendetta, but now, she has blossomed into this wonderful woman with a voice that could touch a million hearts. Time flies! |

I just realized these videos are not on Youtube anymore, taken down from Benedetta's channel. These were awesome performances of HD quality video, Dave wanna try uploading them on youtube again? It'll be refreshing to see these again for everyone |

Oh I know that, I watched it a several times, but youtube is more convenient anyway for people with slow internet connections And it'll be more public if you know what I mean. |

Hi Simba and Richard, I've just been looking at this and it appears that the videos were blocked Worldwide under Content ID matching by the copyright owner, rather than us getting a much more dangerous "copyright strike". That bit's good of course - but if the automatic content ID matching is still in force, we will get the same (blocked) result if I re-upload them. However, copyright owners do occasionally change their policy so I guess the only way to find out is to re-upload one of them and see what happens. Maybe I'll try it later today.  Cheers, Dave |

I think the moral of this is clear, and I've said so many times before. I you see something you like and want to keep, always download it, or failing that record it immediately. You never know how long it will be there. I have a huge library if Hayley videos that came from YouTube and elsewhere. If they disappear for copyright or other reasons, I will still have them.

Hi Simba and all, I have just uploaded Profumo as a test and it received an immediate automatic global block, so that's still in force and will apply to every Youtube channel - which is why it hasn't appeared elsewhere, though I suspect several have tried as it's a popular page on our website with 7,500 page views. Global blocks affect the standing and available features on a channel, and can't be viewed anyway, so I have had to delete it again.  But as Richard said, the videos are still here: Hayley on "Io Canto" (Italian TV) 15 Sep 2011]  ...and yes, it does mark an important and marvellous moment in Hayley's career. Having this childrens' talent show's previous young winner duetting with Hayley makes those videos kind of unique, I love them, especially the "complete" version with interviews in Italian! Perhaps I'll re-do them though when I have a spare moment, as I see there are some visible interlacing artefacts, which I should be able to fix. Incidentally, Benedetta Caretta seems to be developing into quite an interesting pop and rock singer, judging by her Youtube channel www.youtube.com/user/benedettacaretta that seems to have been re-started a year ago.
