Hi everyone, We can discuss in this thread Hayley's Concert at Southend - Cliffs Pavilion on Wednesday 7th March 2012. This is part of the Hayley's UK Paradiso tour, as published by Ticketline and Hayley's official website today. Please discuss anything about the tour as a whole in the main thread entitled UK Paradiso Tour Feb/Mar 2012 - General Thread. Dave

Hi and welcome. Facing the sea, having come down to the centre from the shopping area Cliffs pavilion is a long walk to the right. We did find a sort of cafe last time on the lower slope/promenade just below the pavilion and met Hayley taking a pre-concert relaxed walk on our way back and at her nodded request pretended we hadn't a clue as to who she was! Southend is a seaside resort town and it is out of season. In the centre by the sea there is the pier, a good but very blustery walk in winter about a mile long out to sea. There is also a railway on the pier but only two stops--one at each end. If you want to allow yourself a day to enjoy, there isn't much else. Otherwise Southend is really kiss me quick hats and candy floss when in season. Peter S.

Thanks so much for the advice!
My main concern is that I'm coming from London and I'm just afraid of not making the last train back. Does anyone know if the concert will end in time, or if theres a possibility that I could stagedoor before the last train leaves? can anyone speak from experience?

Hi Diazmarg The last train from Westcliffe is at 1117pm,. The concert will certainly finish in time for you to get your train. Whether or not you will have time to see Hayley at the stage door is another matter as we can never be sure how long we will have to wait for Hayley to appear. I'm sure there will be others going for the train so all I can say is come to the stage door and keep your fingers crossed i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif I think you have a good chance. Best wishes Grant

Hi Tim You shouldn't have a problem getting train tickets on the day of the concert - there are plenty of trains to Southend (although the station nearest to the venue is Westcliffe-on-Sea). Do you actually fly in on the day of the concert? Best wishes Grant

Hi Tim I am travelling to Southend on 7th March via London so see you there. Fenchurch St Station is the London rail station to use. Trains are half hourly. There is not an underground station there and the nearest one is Tower Hill on the District/Circle line. Google Maps can give you printable directions. I always use Southern Rail to buy online rail tickets as they do not charge a booking fee or credit card fee. You can arrange to collect your tickets from a "ticket on departure machine" at the station using a code and your credit card. cheers Tony

Hi Richard, Grant, Tony and Diazmarg(we share a birthday by the way) can't wait to meet up at Southend
I should arrive at LHR at 7am, tube to Tower Hill. Then train from Fenchurch St. to Southend. I can purchase a train ticket in advance and collect it at Fenchurch St Station.
I've got to change from the Piccadilly line to District or Circle to get to Tower Hill, the planner sez South Kensington but I recall changing at Hammersmith in the past. Anyone know for sure?
I'm staying at Southend Wednesday night, than back to LHR for a 4:55pm flight home on Thursday.
I hope this plan works!.....TimJ

Hello Tim! You can change at either Hammersmith or South Kensington with the same ticket. It's a cross-platform interchange from the Piccadilly Line to the District Line at Hammersmith, but there's a more frequent service on the District and Circle Lines from South Kensington to Tower Hill. See you in Southend, Richard
