Following on, there was a period when we in UK said the most impressive thing was being thrown out of a theatre with Hayley. On one occasion (I wasn't there) that meant being thrown out literally with her, she came through the front door with us!
By the by, I am just chatting with Rodney on Facebook. He's going to be at Christchurch.

Many thanks to all for the reports and photos It sounds as though Hayley is in tip-top form! She looks amazing too. Reading the NZ concert threads is making me feel that I will have to find a way to get to one the concerts in the UK next spring - I haven't had the opportunity to see Hayley live on stage yet

We regulars always give new people the chance to push in in case she is short of time but if she is available afterwards then she is well worth the wait even if it is outside in the cold! Peter S.

Prayer Scarborough Fair Pokarekare Ana Whispers in a Dream La Califfa Wuthering Heights Both Sides Now Cinema Paradiso I Knew I Loved You Metti Una Sera A Cena Who Painted the Moon Black? The Mummer's Dance Songbird My Heart Belongs to You Vivo Per Lei (with Chase Douglas) Then we had three encores! Amazing Race River Never Saw Blue Interesting setlist - a mix of everything really and perhaps not as much of Paradiso as I might have expected. But a very enoyable show I am sure. Personally I am looking forward to hearing her performing "Amalia" and "Malena" in particular, so I hope she will be able to include those in the set list for the UK tour with an orchestra. Although as we know "Amalia" works well a capella! In fact I love Paradiso and would love to hear any or all of those songs live. I don't mean this as any kind of criticism, since a Hayley concert is always a wonderful experience whatever she sings - and I would have loved to be at this one. But perhaps it is in the nature of a request.... Martin D

Hi Dori,
I thought this set list was a lot like Kings Lynn. We thought it was fantastic and it was - a privilege to be there. All that for an audience of 700-odd. Kings Lynn had "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Mis which was fantastic. She has added "Metti" for this one, which is great - I'd love to see that.
We were very pleased to hear a few songs from Paradiso that I had never heard live before. I would love to hear a few more - it is such a fantastic album.
The other day I drove through Borrowdale, "England's most beautiful valley" in the autumn sunshine, with the brown and gold autumn leaves in their full splendour, the lake reflecting the surrounding mountains like a mirror, and Paradiso on the stereo. The music complemented the scenery perfectly, although I couldn't completely let myself drown in that beauty - driving along that narrow, twisty and sometimes single track road takes considerable concentration.
That experience alone was worth ten times the price of the album. And hearing those songs live - well, we are very fortunate that Hayley's concerts are still affordable in my opinion.

I'm disappointed not to see Amalia Por Amor on the list. I guess she must not have, otherwise I'm sure you'd all remember it. It doesn't affect me, of course, but it's an amazing song, and if I was at a Hayley Paradiso concert, I would want to hear it. But, having never been to any Hayley concert before, I couldn't really complain. But still, it's my favorite, and even Hayley's favorite, according to Hayley herself! Amazing Race! I've never heard that one before! I have heard of the TV show by that name, though.

Woops! I better fix that typo! :2fun:
That's my mom's favorite song too, and no, she didn't sing it. As a matter of fact, I was surprised at how few songs she did sing from Paradiso, but then again, this was her 10th anniversary tour, so she had to cover all four albums equally.

Hello Jono. Don't put down the value of your contribution. Expressed from the heart like that you show superbly the response of so many and even after years of following her almost (and some have) for as long as she has been in the UK it remans an awesome experience having Hayley in front of you on stage, especially if you are centre front row. I can't note what is going on easily either. I am simply wowed and concentrating on her. You have expressed your feelings vey well and you will find them echoed by so many so often. By the by, if anyone happens to be very close to Hayley DON'T let her see you making notes, she doesn't like it. Probably because she likes to know she really has you absorbed. Peter S. Thank you Peter. This makes me feel better about my lack of contribution! The night of the Auckland concert, I was trying to see if there was a possibility of attending any other concert(s). It had to be on a weekend or within driving distance of Auckland (because I need my annual leave for the end of the year). The only possible option was Palmerston North, but turns out I am going away that weekend for my friends birthday. Oh well, guess I'll have to wait patiently until next time. And I will also have to be more organised when that time comes!

Hi Jono
Don't worry - Hayley will have another tour in no time! Maybe I'll be able to attend multiple concerts when she does another tour also. I would love to attend one in Wellington and Christchurch as well as Auckland. That would be FABULOUS.
Here's to next time!
