Thanks for the reviews and photos guys. You all (Dori, Jillian, Ross) must have really good attention to detail! My review is pretty much "wow that was a great concert".. I think the distinction must be that I just sit there in amazement for the whole duration of the concert and when I think back to it its just all I can think is woah that was awesome!!...whereas you guys are onto it and analysing everything! (which of course adds much more value to a forum... I still feel HAYLEYWOWED. It's a strange feeling though, it's like being happy and sad at the same time. Happy that I had such an awesome experience, but sad that it's over and will be a while till I can see a concert of Hayley's live again (the onset of the withdrawall symptoms.. ). Whereas at the concert it is more of a chilled/ stunned feeling! See I told you that my review is more about my experience than giving you details - sorry! Hello Jono. Don't put down the value of your contribution. Expressed from the heart like that you show superbly the response of so many and even after years of following her almost (and some have) for as long as she has been in the UK it remans an awesome experience having Hayley in front of you on stage, especially if you are centre front row. I can't note what is going on easily either. I am simply wowed and concentrating on her. You have expressed your feelings vey well and you will find them echoed by so many so often. By the by, if anyone happens to be very close to Hayley DON'T let her see you making notes, she doesn't like it. Probably because she likes to know she really has you absorbed. Peter S.

Hi Martin! Yes she did! There was a moment there when I thought she was going to try to play in those sky scrapers, but she took them off in the end! Cheers, Jillian And of course the problem with the piano mike mentioned earlier by someone is a classic. They never seem to sort that out for her at the start of a tour until the second or third concert by which time they've got the hang of it. Shoes and mike fixing It's all part of her homeliness. WOW!!! This is the HWI I know and love! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif - off line for 12 hours and over 50 posts (with photos) to catch up on. Thank you Jillian, Dori, Jono and Ross for the great reports and photos - Now I know what you all feel like when you see reports and photos from us here in the UK i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifJillian, I know exactly how you felt and quite understand why you hardly managed to finish your dinner before the show I remember something very similar happening at my first concert - I couldn't wait to get back to the venue 'just in case' I might get a glimpse of Hayley. There was no other place I wanted to be even though there was still a couple of hours to the concert. You were so lucky to meet Jill and Sophie. I have met Jill several times and she is just lovely but I would SOOOOO love to meet Sophie, and Isaac too of course. Jono, I echo Peter's sentiments - in depth reports are necessary but so are those precious reflections that are very personal to us - that way, we get the complete picture; the atmosphere and the mood of the evening. Well done everyone. Best wishes Grant P.S. I love the new purple dress

For once I thot that the gorgeous purple dress was a full gown (in so many years), when I saw the first shots XD....and it wasn't....BUT WHAT a gorgeous dress it was! And HOW amazing hayley looked! WOW Im astounded, and the set list is amazing, I'm so happy that this was the best concert for many of y'all, and the "non-flash photography" thing makes me think they're gonna release a DVD live from thing, as a 10th anniversary thing lol....I'd die for one!
Were any videos shot? Not that I'm asking too much XD

Another question - I didn't recognise any of the band members other than Tim. Do you have names and/or nationality? Martin Interestingly Martin, one of the girls on viola was a girl I went to school with! Her name is Charlotte Featherston (it's in the program). So they are all local, by the looks of it. Dori

Thanks again for all the reports and photos guys. I love to see coverage of Hayley's concerts.
And yes, you are still unfairly biased perhaps about thinking your first Hayley concert is the best. Siply because of the impact she has if you havent heard her live before. But my first one was in 2004, and she has improved and developed enormously since then, so I can't in all favourite still regard that as my favourite. These days, my favourite is usually the latest one.

So after the concert, we were waiting in line with Ross and Jillian...and Sophie shows up! She was LOVELY. Absolutely wonderful. We chatted for quite a bit about all sorts of things (some of which I don't think I should post here, as they may be private ), and then...the security guards announced "10 more minutes and we're outta here!". WHAT? They weren't even half way through the line yet! He also announced "no more photos! Just get your autograph and leave!" Hayley, twice, had to go up to him and tell him to stop saying that, because you could tell it was starting to upset her, and her fans, especially children who were patiently waiting in line, just to meet Hayley. I was really unimpressed, and so was Hayley by the looks of it. Hayley didn't get to sign my program. They rushed us all. However, I had printed the photo of me and Hayley that is on my avatar here on HWI, and enlarged it, and she signed that. So, guess who's going to get that framed tomorrow? After a quick photo, I told Hayley that my mother was leaving NZ, and so Hayley shook my mom's hand and wished her all the best. We then went out into the foyer, and met Jill and Sophie again, and we chatted for a good while! Jill looked at me and said, "I know you! I thought you lived in the UK!". She obviously recognized me from HWI (yes guys, they read EVERYTHING! ) She congratulated me on finding a job in my field, and wanted to know about it. We also talked about the earthquake, and of course, Jillian's fashion expertise on HWI and how she knows more about Hayley's dresses than Jill. Here are some after concert photos: I'll pose a photo of the framed photograph when I get it framed! That's all from me, folks! Dori

Hi Dori. Thank you for your wonderful sharing of your delight and enjoyment at your Hayley evening. I'm sorry you had a bad time with security anxious to go home or get on with their own schedules. It has happened before and it is a complex issue as to who is controlling what under what contractual arrangement and something into which I suggest we should not probe but it is disappointing and Hayley will have been upset she could not give her fans the time they wanted with her and she wanted to give them.
She hasn't been there for 4 years (professionally operative) and so there were probably far more people anxious to meet with her than she has been used to of late, even though she is back home and might have expected a heavy load.
What you describe is what I recall on her early days in the UK when there were equally long queues waiting for her. We used to have a good half-hour or so chatting with Jill while she did her signings and then she would come across to us, sometimes with time to chat sometimes only to gather up her mum and disappear.
In those early days too we would often help carry her luggage to the car and see them drive off. I remember Roger, or was it Grant, carrying one case for her and feeling convinced it was the one containing THE dress! It was actually a clothes shop shopping bag!
It was a joy to hear of your meeting up with Sophie. That is something I would love to do too and I am sure she is (if possible!) just a slightly bubblier version of Hayley. I have the impression of her that she is a very loving sister but an irrepressible petite younger version that doesn't have Hayley's cares but considers her role is to keep Hayley's feet firmly on the ground, there is no way Hayley's getting away with being big-headed with younger sister there!

Dori, you took some really good photos! The dress actually does look purple in the ones of her at the piano, the last ones that are a little blurry.
