To clarify, the point of my post is that Amazon having a thousand signed copies to sell is another example of "something extra" being done to promote Paradiso, compared to everything Hayley's released since Pure. More effort is going into it in the UK anyway, to be sure.
But we ain't seen nothing yet.

No? Well there is Hayley's increased media presence for one thing.
And doing gigs like Kings Lynn does her no harm at all. Sometimes people appreciate an artist that is prepared to give a fabulous performance in front of 700 odd people in an unfashionable country town.

I have just received an email from Hayley inviting me to by Paradiso. It also invited me to enter a draw for chocolate. Green & Blacks I hope.

The still of the video at the end, I must say, is a rather odd Paradiso shot. I think the digitalishness must have marred it a bit.

I have held back from buying Paradiso until the UK release to add my one option to the initial sales peak with the Amazon offer. Let's hope that pushes Paradiso into no.1 in the first or second week, depending upon when the first full week starts.

The iTunes digital release of Paradiso is now up there as a prerelease, but the Artist name is listed as: Ennio Morricone & Hayley Westenra. This is just silly, because if you click on it to see what other albums they have released, none come up (because they have never done a joint album). Also, everywhere else lists it as Hayley Westenra. Inconsistency! If this isn't fixed within a few days, I think we must bombard someone with emails to get it fixed. Also, it's listed under Pop - not Classical - so that might be wrong, too. Dave |

I know, it seems every music site is getting info on Paradiso very gradually, and then they keep changing everything, so it gets confusing.

Well, Libby, perhaps it has to be drip fed. We are talking about the greatest album of the century (or millenium) here (although not quite my personal favourite,which is HSJS1 - that's just me - but technically and musically Paradiso is far better).

Hello folks! Now the UK release of Paradiso is less than two weeks away, I'm hoping Classic FM will start advertising it soon. I listened for a few hours yesterday and heard nothing, but they're still advertising Laura Wright who's been at No.1 in the classical charts for three weeks now.  Richard  |
