I didn't know where to post this but here's a new entry from Hayley's myspace:

HI Stephany! First of all, welcome! I know I'm a bit late, but a warm welcome all the same. You've found some wonderful items since you've joined. Oh yes, and congratulations on the 100 posts already! Thanks for sharing this with everyone. It certainly clears up some doubts about that myspace that some people have had for a while. I KNEW my friend was right when he said he saw Hayley at the concert in Wallingford. How awesome! <3 Caite

I'd be excited about the upcoming CW tour too if I were her. The ladies are lovely and lots of fun and I'm sure every show is a great time. They certainly get great responses from the crowds and often if they see someone they know they give a little wave.
I also hope she's recovering fast from her cold as her first show with CW is on Sunday!

You're right, all the girls look lovely. Yet at some point, I asked myself if there was any competition between them. Apparently not ! I would love to see a CW concert, especially if Hayley's in. Why, oh why the US country is that far?

Why, oh why the US country is that far? I know how you feel Stephany. I spend most of the time insanely jealous of all the UK folks who seem to get Hayley concerts at this castle or that church on a weekly basis (I know it only seems that way). So I’m not apologizing for the rare opportunity to see Hayley and CW at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles in May. Maybe LA needs more castles.

... at some point, I asked myself if there was any competition between them. Apparently not ! ... I wondered about that myself. Both Hayley and Chloe had albums called "Walking In The Air" and Meav sang "Danny Boy" on CW:ANJ which Hayley could just as easily have done. But it's great they all mix well. And best of all, there's no better duetting partner for Hayley than Meav, hands down.

I can't wait to hear you report. Because I really wonder what songs Hayley's going to sing. I mean, for example - considering that she's replacing Meav - will she sing "The last rose of summer" all alone? Or will she be duetting with someone else? I won't be able to make it to the US but I'll definitely go to a UK concert if there is the opportunity for me to go. My top priority at the moment is to get to hear Hayley LIVE ! I don't really mind if I can't meet her and say a few words (ok, that would be a nice bonus) but I really want to listen to her music in real life. It's probably much more different than a CD. I agree with you, stevemacdonald. Hayley's duet with Meav was stunning. I guess there is competition between all of the girls - but only on a friendly basis.

Stephany:
I am going. But two months seems like an eternity. I would pay a month’s salary to see Hayley sing Dark Waltz or Wuthering Heights live, but I seriously doubt those songs fit the theme, so I’ll happily settle for whatever’s on the bill. Some day I will see her solo and all will be well in the world. And I agree with Steve that seeing Hayley and Meav reprise The Last Rose of Summer would be memorable. Sadly, as you noted, they are spelling each other on this tour so that too will have to wait for another day.

Hi socalboy, " Spelling each other"? Forgive my ignorance, but is that an Americanism? I suppose I can guess what it means because I know Hayley and Meav are alternating, or standing in for one another but it's a new one on me! Roger

Some day I will see her solo and all will be well in the world. Some day, she will give a HWI exclusive concert and we'll be all reunited to listen to her excellent music. OK - I'm seriously dreaming there. PS : related to what Roger just said, I'd like to take this opportunity to apologize for any English mistakes I'm making. I'm still learning the language at school so it's probably not perfect. I hope it's at least understandable.

Hi Stephany, Actually, I assumed you were English but currently studying in France. Presumably, that isn't so? Your English is excellent no matter where you originate from. [That last bit was grammatically poor so don't take any notice of it!] In answer to your opening comment in this thread, yes, you posted it in exactly the right place on the basis that Hayley's MySpace counts as Media. Spell: To relieve (someone) from work temporarily by taking a turn. I guess not part of the King’s English.

Your English is so good that I too thought it was your native tongue. Now I'm even more impressed. And I love the idea of an HWI concert. I'd fly across the pond in a heartbeat.

Thanks for all your nice comments - I should tell my English teacher about HWI and let him know that sharing opinions on a forum is a great way to learn a language - better than books anyway.
I was born and raised in France but my Dad is from Cambodia so I have Asian blood as well. As a toddler, I lived in Japan and Singapore during 5 years. I'm currently studying in a business school that allows me to go abroad for a full academic year; that's why I'm going to the UK next September. But no, I'm definitely not English - I know absolutely nothing about the country and the culture (OK, just a few stereotypes).
And back to topic, what Hayley said prooves that she has more than ever mastered the notion of extreme politeness.
