I don't know about anyone else but you couldn't pay me enough money to go up there on that silly wheel. What if it tips over in a sudden gust of wind? What if something breaks and the whole darn wheel comes crashing down? Disasters happen and I sure wouldn't want to make history as one of the victims on board that crazy thing.

SURELY if Hayley was on it you wouldn't hesitate to have a go, even if it was just to make sure she was safe, that way if it tips over she would have someone to hang onto all the way to the ground. If it helps you could come out here and I'll take you up in my chopper for a few short joy flights, I'll show you how to defy gravity in a sudden 90 degree angle turn at full throttle, well your stomach would defy it anyway. Rob thought it was fun didn't you Rob? :je that way when the wheel tips over you will know what to expect much love Tracy.

Hello Belinda! I've been on the London Eye twice, and it's a very pleasant experience. The pods are currently being refurbished at a remote location, which is why there's always one missing. Richard

Hi everyone I guess we would just need someone to be a bidder, win it and pay for it - then contributions would be welcome from 10 other people Best wishes Mark Hi Mark and everyone, I actually wanted to propose you something like that. Even if I was the lucky winner, I don't know enough people who like Hayley to gather nine guests. My family likes her music -and still we are only 6-, but coming from France, we have to pay the journey and my family doesn't like Hayley that much to pay for in two flights and one night in an hotel! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif However, I DO!! So, if I proposed to be the last bidder, win the bid and pay for it, who would be in to share the precious price with me as well as the cost of it? If nine people are interested with that idea, please tell me, I'd love to leave that experience of flying the London Eye with Hayley, and dividing the cost of the last bid by ten would make it a lot more affordable to me. Love, Juliette

This charity bid eventually sold for £1720 which was the second highest charity lot bid. The highest lot went for over two thousand pounds and the winner will have Karl Jenkins compose a new piece of music and then have it presented as a signed noteset score with any reasonable dedication. Congratulations to the winner of Hayley's lot, not that I am jealous! Martin

Best wishes Mark there was a debate on a mailing list i was on once... the prize was lunch with melissa joan hart {a sitcom actress ca. 1997}. someone who was fond of her said he wouldnt want to win because he would want her to want to be there with him {as distinct from doing her job by being there}. i guess it comes down to whether you have the illusion of her wanting to be there as to whether you want to win. its slightly different with hayley because she is very compasionate and would want you to enjoy your experiance just a thought the spiderman

Steve...it's a wheel....its round. Worst that could happen in a storm is it'll roll into the Thames. No worries...each cabin will be able to breathe freely while its up, only having to hold their breath during the very short time their cabin is trundling along the river bed underwater. graeme

Hi Graeme,
Happy New Year to you and Marianne.
It actually rotates very slowly, I think it takes something like an hour to do one revolution.
Did you see the fireworks around it last night? An absolutely stunning display with the Eye in the centre of it.
I suspaect there was nobody in the capsules though!

Hi Martin It actually rotates very slowly, I think it takes something like an hour to do one revolution. It actually takes about 30 minutes - if you've never been on it, it's well worth the experience, however, I recommend you book in advance unless you're prepared to queue! There certainly were people in the capsules during the fireworks display - clearly visible in the BBC coverage - although they may have been officials or the pyrotechnic guys rather than paying guests. Best wishes Grant

Aah, so maybe my sister would be able to handle it, after all, if it moves that slowly. Why doesn't Classic FM say when the event will be held? Is it up to the winner to decide? I still have a hard time believing they'd do that, seeing how busy Hayley is all the time.

Hello Libby! I expect the event will be arranged for a mutually convenient date later this year. Hopefully Classic FM will post a report on their website, so I'll look out for it. Richard
