HI!! Why yes I was I was in 8th grade when I got her cd Pure (now I have 17 of her cds, 3 posters, and 1 1/2 DVDs). I don't know why I waited so long to join HWI....I had an account on Hayley's official forum, but I forgot my info. a while ago. Unfortunately, I've never had the opportunity to see her in concert. Whenever she was in the USA (though very rarely) either I was unaware or she was too far. I did see Celtic Woman in Scranton, PA but it was after Hayley So ya! I've been a Hayley fan for a loooong while Paige

This will ring nostalgic for a few of us: The early buzz on Hayley from 2001 & 2002! But in another singing sensation's forum -- imagine that!! Have a look... if you dare, by clicking HERE, and HERE also, and HERE too, and of course HERE as well. Note: pages will take several long seconds to load. Oh, and full credit to Jon (milewalker) for reminding me about this ancient stuff via his post in the Jackie Evancko thread.

Wow.....thanks Steve,
That seems like a lifetime ago. Ironies abound - among them that Keith Sheels discovered Hayley by way of an "other artists" thread on a Charlotte Church site. For the record, Simon discovered Hayley on the Yahoo site that Gerrit and I were running for Charlotte.

WOW, thanks Steve. That means you go back a long way with Hayley, much further than I do. And there are names I have heard, Keith S for example, who I know was on of the founders of HWI but before my time here.
This stuff is fascinating for a relative newcomer like me (I have only known Hayley since 2004).
So she was known in the UK and USA long before Pure. That is a revelation to me. And the comments about her are fascinating, bearing in mind that the people commenting had never heard her perform live.

Thanks for the links, Steve! If you click on "Impatient?", the pages load almost instantaneously. Richard

Hi, Didn't find where this has been previously posted anywhere on the forum. It is a good site to help with recalling. There are 101 30-second samples of Hayley's songs, sorted by popularity according to Amazon sales. Very clear sound. A nice site to explore. BobS www.amazon.com/Hayley-Westenra/e/B000APUTBKPS - What I just noticed, and has aroused my curiosity, is that the Paradiso songs are 30 cents cheaper than her other album songs. Wonder why that is.

Hi all, For any of you who like to rummage around in old Hayley files, I have just gone through an old Japanese fansite starting in 2003, going back to 2001, which is a dandy. (I found it while trying to track down "Clarissa from Brazil".) It is a huge file, 95% in Japanese. Just scroll rapidly over the Japanese postings, stopping at the ones you see in English. There are some choice tidbits every so often, many near the end of the file. I was surprised to see a Keith Sheel post, along with quite a few from Lindsay, among others. Enjoy, BobS hayleywestenrafans.com/guestbook/beforedebutinjp.htmPS - Better to scroll to the bottom and work your way up.

Hello Bob! I'm getting a pop-up option to translate the whole page into English. I now use Google Chrome instead of Firefox. Richard

Hello Bob! I'm getting a pop-up option to translate the whole page into English. I now use Google Chrome instead of Firefox. Richard Hi, Sounds good. May I ask you how? Don't think that I have Chrome. By right-clicking I had seen "Translate by Bing". I clicked on it, but didn't get anything, so just stayed with what I could see in English.

Hello Bob! The Translate option is probably a feature in the Google Chrome browser only. If it doesn't appear automatically, click on the little black squares to the left of the star at the right hand end of the address bar, if you can see them. I can also get the translation by right clicking on the page, again in Chrome only. I've been using Chrome for a couple of weeks now and I can highly recommend it! Richard

Michael Ball on his BBC Radio 2 show just made my Christmas - he played Hayley singing "Veni Veni Emmanuel", my favourite Hayley Christmas recording. Martin
