Great to read Hayley's Barbican concert was so successful. I can't believe it's been a year since I first saw Hayley in concert. I unfortunately couldn't make this one but I'm thrilled to read the reviews

Hi Juliette Wow, what a wonderful review - and such detail too. I am so very pleased that you got to not only see Hayley perform live, but also to meet her both before and after the show. I am only too sorry that i wasn't able to be there myself - unfortunatly it wasnt to be this year, the first time in 5 years that i wasnt able to wish Hayley Happy Christmas in person . Not only that, it would have been great to have met you also. Still, I hope that we may meet at a Hayley concert at some point in the future My first Hayley concert was over 5 years ago and I can still recall every detail about it. However, now, after almost 50 concerts, I find that I get to the end of the first half of a show and I find it difficult to even remember the order of the songs I think perhaps I have learned to relax more and I have become more lost in the moment if you know what i mean!! Thanks also for the videos Juliette, it really cheered me up to see those, not quite as good as if I had been at the concert - but almost, so thank-you so much. Lots of love Mark xx

Hi everyone
Thanks also for your report Grant and for all the fantastic photos taken by yourself, Karsten and of course, Steve. Simply awesome!!
It sounds like it was a superb concert and although i couldn't be there, I am so grateful to hear all about it in such detail.
Very best wishes

Oh, Juliette, don't feel bad about the video. Of course I would have loved to hear it, but it's okay. It was very nice of you to think of me. I am glad you got When a Child is Born, though, since I've never heard her sing that before. I think Martin said he got All With You on video too. I haven't had a chance to listen to very many of the videos yet. I'm starting to lose track of where they all are now. Did someone say they got the new Maori one, too? I really want to hear that one too. Now to find them all... I know that Sweden is a Scandinavian country. I just thought I might've been the one who was confused about Sissel's home country, and maybe Sissel was Swedish after all. I admit, I'm not very familiar with Sissel's repertoire at all. I did enjoy her performance with the Mormon Tabernacle choir a few years ago, though.

Juliette, your Barbican report is one of the most succinct, informative reports I've ever read. You have an amazing ability to retain information. Reading the report is as though you are actually there. Perhaps you should pursue a career in writing. I think you have the knack for it. Love, Larry

Hi Juliette,
I see HWI has a new star reporter! Not only a wonderful report writer, even though you are writing in a language that is not your own, but an excellent video photographer too. You put my efforts to shame.
Whereabouts were you sitting in the hall? Front row of the circle/balcony? You seem to have had a good unimpeded view, and were able to conceal the camera too. Brilliant! You have obtained some pretty unique footage of Hayley, and for that and your report I thank you.
As for Rhydian, interesting comment about his clothes. Sue said she half expected the buttons to pop off his jacket when he breathed in... (at Birmingham, the same show).
So thank you once again Juliette. Your review brought back happy memories of the Birmingham concert too.

Libby,
I have uploaded both "All With You" and "Te Harinui/Have Youself a Merry Little Christmas" to my Mediafire account (not good enough for YouTube). The links are in the Birmingham Concert thread. Juliette almost certainly has better videos of these though. I was in a very poor location for photography, and didn't get the exposure right - I was far too close to Hayley for photography, although soundwise it was brilliant.

I don't know if it's the acoustics or because she's had a cold, but her voice sounded really different to me. It must be the acoustics, because she sounded absolutely amazing on Songs of Praise. Not that she didn't sound amazing here, it just seemed to capture a different tone of her voice. Thanks again for the videos, Juliette!
