Hi Joyce
Are you staying in Central Birmingham? George and family and myself are booked into the Travelodge.
I suggest we meet up at either Symphony Hall or Weatherspoons around fivish - should give people time to get there. Anyone arriving a bit later will still be able to find us.
Best wishes Grant

See ya !! Greetz Joyce Agreed! Breakfast sounds like a great idea! There is a free monorail link between the airport and the railway station which runs every few minutes and there are regular intercity and local train services from there into New Street Station. The fast trains take 10 minutes to the city. Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant, Joyce & all.
I don't think the Travelodge Central has breakfast facilities. We may need to find somewhere nearby in the morning. It is also just a fifteen minute walk from New St Station.
Looking forward to meeting up, it seems ages! We want to see the Christmas market in the afternoon but afterwards happy to meet (at the right Wetherspoons this time!) Remembering our lonely meal in Nottingham!!
Cheers,
George

Hi George and everyone Assuming we are all at the same Travelodge! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif There are two; one in Newhall Street and one just off Broadway. I'm in the latter which I believe is closest to Symphony Hall -the nearest railway station is Five Ways. I'm getting into the mood with "Winter Magic" Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant,
Yes, Christmas is coming. I've been playing WM for a week now. Today I resurrected My Gift to You!
See you at the show.

Hi Grant, I'd forgotten what a delightful album MGTY is. Nowhere near the voice of technique has has now of course, but very enjoyable on a winter morning journey to work nonetheless. And you never know, she might even perform some of those songs on her Christmas tour. Martin D Martin D

Hi folks.
Long time no speak (type!). Which Wetherspoons are you all thinking of meeting at, as there are several near Symphony Hall!
See you all soon!
Cheers, Ben

Don't know if I will make it earlier enough to get to Wetherspoons but personally I would have aimed for the Figure of Eight on Broad Street

Weather permitting I hope to be there in good time. I will probably see the lunch time match in the 'Figure of Eight' and then see what is happening at the venue before returning for the pre concert meet. Hope the weather stays good.... First time we have seen grass today for 15 days Best Wishes, Graham
