Hi, According to the website www.thsh.co.uk/view/christmas-wishes-with-hayley-westenrathere'll take place a concert with Hayley at Symphony Hall, Birmingham, on Sunday, 19 Dec 2010, 7:30 pm, titled 'Christmas Wishes with Hayley Westenra'. The tickets are on sale, priced GBP 12 to 34.50. THE EVENT IS NOT CONFIRMED SO FAR.(But perhaps it is related to Hayley's twitter message dated 16th of June "...I'm having to confirm my concert setlists for my shows in September and December...") Cheers, Karsten P.S.: I wasn't at the Hall so far, therefore my question: Where are the best seats? Edit by Dave 3Aug2010: concert is now confirmed

Well, I'm up for this one without a doubt! The finest acoustic of any hall I have ever been in. This is one place I have always wanted to hear Hayley sing. But I have to talk to Sue before I can book.
I don't think I will choose our usual spot in the choir seats for Hayley. I think we would prefer to see her from the front!!
Right I've booked. Three seats in the front row of the stalls. Me, Sue and her friend Sooty (who was at Beaumanor, so she has seen Hayley before). I see the seats are already selling well. AA15-17 in case you want to avoid sitting near us.
Oh, I've just has a phone call from Sue at work, and now booked AA14 as well!

but first...wait for confirmation!!! Hi Joyce and everyone, I don't think we are yet close to getting confirmation for this one, some September events are likely to be the next ones to be confirmed but there was no mention of December when I was last in touch with Bedlam today (Monday). This isn't Bedlam (Harmonic artists) being slow, it is the venues jumping the gun. Dave

Hi Dave,
Hayley mentioned the other day that she was having to submit set lists for concerts in December, so I guess there must be some pretty solid ones we don't yey know about. Looking at the date this is probably here farewell show before she returns to NZ for Christmas.
It is a Hayley Christmas concert, in my favourite hall, and the temptation is just too much to resist.
I don't think booking before confirmation is particularly risky in this case, and I'm sure the seats will go fast. Of course, we would like confirmation. I've mentioned it to Hayley on Twitter anyway, so you never know, she might (or might not) say something.

I don't think booking before confirmation is particularly risky in this case Hi Martin D, That's entirely a decision for individual fans, whose locations circumstances and risks vary greatly. Hayley will not be involved in the contractual side of her own concerts, which is what we are talking about by "confirmed", so trying to get her involved in this will not help matters. Let's just leave it to ber managers and booking agency, that's what they are paid for. If members want to take a chance, they can of course do so. Dave

Hi Martin
I see AA12/AA13 have gone also - wonder who?? I have just booked AA18.
Mmmm! Seems I've just broken a promise I made to myself some years ago - NEVER AGAIN to drive into central Birmingham - suppose I could come by train and stop over - now there's a thought!
Best wishes Grant

Hi Grant and Martin
I have booked five tickets on row B, central so I can keep watch over the front row!
If you decide to stay, Grant - I have booked two rooms in Birmingham Central Travelodge for £19 per room. I think there are more at that price.
See you all there, hopefully! If it doesn't go ahead, Sunday before Xmas in Birmingham will be quite nice!
George

Mmmm! Seems I've just broken a promise I made to myself some years ago - NEVER AGAIN to drive into central Birmingham - Hi Grant, We drive to concerts in Birminghan quite often, Symphony Hall, Town Hall or NIA. It is usually pretty straightforward, but we did come unstuck once. That night it snowed, and the whole of central Birmingham was gridlocked for hours. When it got to the time of the interval and we were still 2 miles from the Hall, we turned back. Didn't matter anyway, since most of the orchestra we were qoing to see hadn't arrived eiter!! But this one is in December, and we have encountered snow on around 15% of the ocasions we have been to see Hayley!! It seems that Hayley concerts, like global warming conventions have a habit of attracting snow!! Looks like the nuclueus of a nice little HWI gathering right in front of Hayley... Martin D

Hi Martin Looks like the nuclueus of a nice little HWI gathering right in front of Hayley... Yes indeed! Like George, I've booked myself a room at the Travelodge - at £19 it's probably cheaper that driving and parking - not to mention the benefit to my stress levels. And, as George says, even if the concert doesn't go ahead - the Sunday before Christmas in Birmingham should be fun! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifBest wishes Grant

Hi All
I must say that I too am tempted just to book for this one - although it will be the first time I have booked an unconfirmed date. Anyway, I will look at what seats are left (seems you guys have booked the best ones already) and will keep you posted.
Best wishes
Mark

Hi Mark,
Go on Mark, you know you want to! Love to see you there. And if it doesn't happen, you will get your money back anyway. Been there, done it, twice.
This is such a fantastic venue that if you know it, you will want to be there.
I will have to give up my church's Carols by Candlelight service to be there. Not missed that for the best part of 30 years. But against a Hayley Christmas show - no contest!
