Since we have a poll for all the other albums, we might as well have one for this one, too.

Yes, I agree. This has been a much easier album to deal with than HSJS1, where just about ecery song has been a favourite at some time. This one settled down pretty quickly to
1. Cosmos. What fantastic vocal technique. 2. To the Future - Wonderful lyric by Hayley, wonderfully performed 3. Many Times Always - Totally unique peformance. If anyone things Hayley lacksw originality, play them this. Although the title"Always with Me" is perhaps a better one.
There are no bad tracks on this album, not even "Mother of Mine", a song I used to hate.

Thanks for the poll Libby. Hmm, here are my favorites from HSJS2: 1) To Mama - the lyrics, goodness, made my eyes watery when I first heard it. It's got wonderful melody and tune as well! 2) Mikazuki/A Crescent Moon - Just love Hayley's version. And love the lyrics. 3) A Child god (I don't remember the Japanese title ) - Hayley sings it magnificently and love how she sings "hey yo hey yo" and "I am watching over you". - Anshita

Ha, ha, ha. i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI chose Tsubomi, Crescent Moon, and Nemunoki no komoriuta. I like hearing her sing in Japanese, and her voice is so exceptionally beautiful in this song. Most of the other songs are lower than her "usual" repertoire, and when they are high, they more of a strained pitch. I like Flower, too, but the high notes seem very strained. My throat feels sore just listening to them sometimes. I still like them, though, I just don't dare try to join her!

I like hearing Hayley sing in Japanese as well, but when I see some of the videos on YT, many criticize to her way of pronunciating the words. I don't know Japanese, so I don't know whats wrong. But Hayley really sounds marvelous in anything.
But what do you mean by "strained pitch"?

I can't actually choose a favourite, weird as it sounds. Every song is good, none at all weak, but none really stands clearly and obviously above the rest, for me. It's an incredibly even album.

I just love track 7 - Warabigami. Together with 'To mother - mama e' these are my all time favourites from the 2nd Cd. I also voted Crescent moon.

Some have said the same of her pronunciation of German in Bist Du Bei Mir, but all I hear is a beautiful voice. Of course, I wouldn't know. I guess I mean that it's a strain for me to sing in certain pitches that Hayley does. I don't know how else to describe it. But on HSJS2 it's just that it's way too high for me, especially Flower, and Love Love. Tsubomi is a stretch. I also have trouble going from singing lower, and all of a sudden going really high, like Hayley does in Crescent Moon (through all the TEARS that my eyes have shed). Some songs of Hayley's are easier for me to sing along to, but others are very difficult and I have to try to harmonize. (Harmonizing is like what Hayley often did in Hallelujah w/ the Canadian Tenors).

Hayley's German pron. in "Bist du bei mir" is perfect. The pronunciation between different regions in Germany varies anyhow. The "best" German is said to be that spoken in Hannover. Graeme

I had to go with Love Love Love, A God Child and Many Times Always. If there was a fourth option it would have been Flower. Such and upbeat, fun song!
