Cheers, Andrew Done!!! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifI have Emailed Simon with the idea suggested by "Jon S" that the images of Hayley at the time of receiving her "Outstanding Young Person of the World" Award should be included somewhere, somehow on the main 'HWI' Website front page. I Emailed the following pictures to Simon: (courtesy of 'HWI' member "graemek") (courtesy of 'HWI' member "Richard") Regards, Andrew

Thanks Richard, well found. We listened to it back & forth about half an hour ago. Some mysteries unfurled!! Interesting re the duet Hayley sang with the Belgian Helmut Lotti too just before she came home . See below. He seems to sing crossover quite happily. There's no mention of what they sang or in which language. Thanks Andrew & John re putting the 2 award pics on the front page. Good idea. Graemek

Graemek The only match with Hayley and Helmut that I can find is "There's A Sparkle In Your Eyes". I cannot give a link because it is in German. This may be for Helmut's new double album "The Crooners". Helmut has previously duetted with Sir Cliff Richard. Perhaps all three of them will get together when Cliff performs at Wembley in November! Interesting to see that Helmut is a respresentative of UNICEF for Belgium. Looks like a new thread should be started.

Hi everybody, I found this statement on the Illinois USA JCI site: Skills: Winners will be selected on the basis of achievement in one or more of the following areas: 1. Personal improvement or accomplishment 2. Financial success and economic innovation 3. Social improvement to major contemporary problems 4. Philanthropic contribution or voluntary service 5. Politics or government service 6. Scientific or technological contributions 7. Legal reform 8. Cultural achievement (to include contributions in literature, history, education or the arts) 9. Academic leadership or accomplishment 10. Moral and religious leadership 11. Athletic accomplishment 12. Success in the influence of public opinion (news media and other means) 13. Any other important contributions to community, state or nation, at the discretion of the judges. Also, in determining the recipients of this recognition, the judges shall give particular consideration to each nominee's record of adherence to the principles embodied in the Jaycee Creed. “WE BELIEVE: “That faith in God gives meaning and purpose to human life; “That the brotherhood of man transcends the sovereignty of nations; “That economic justice can best be won by free men through free enterprise, “That government should be of laws rather than of men; “That earth's greatest treasure lies in human personality; “And that service to humanity is the best work of life.”
I haven't seen the creed stated before. Graemek

Thanks for your research, Graeme! We know that Hayley has won her award for cultural achievement, but I expect her work for UNICEF was taken into consideration. Now I'm wondering who the other nine winners are this year, but we'll probably have to wait for the presentation ceremony in November to find out. Best Wishes, Richard

Thank you Graemek for that quote from the Illinois JCI web. I found that very interesting.
!-4, 8, 10, 13 I reckon Hayley would score either top or very high in. Other areas also possibly dependent upon detail of their definition. It only has to be an assessment on 1!
She's great is our girl!
