Thanks for making this available so quickly, Dave. Did anyone notice the closing comment? "Hayley will fly to Seoul in November to collect her award". At least, I think that's what it said. But, in November, she is supposed to be recording in the UK so it looks as though she will spend another couple of days in the air! Roger

Hi Graemek
That was a point I forgot to say in an earlier post on her outstanding achievement. Her lovely relaxed telling that she was going off to a family meet. Totally switched out of 'the job' she seemed and that is good. Short though it is, it seems her holiday is doing her good.

Hi everyone... and well done Hayley! When I watched the TVNZ clip it kept stopping to re-buffer and in total it took me 8 minutes to watch the 93 second clip. I find this often happens with the TVNZ broadband internet connections from the UK (though it's probably dependent on the time of day). Anyway, I decided to download the file instead... which also took 8 minutes... but for anyone who has problems watching the clip directly from TVNZ, you can now watch it and/or download it from my webspace here.Cheers, Dave Yes Dave, TV NZ always comes in perfectly where I live but that may well be because the rest of the world is bye byes at the time.(I watched the clip 8 hours ago & there was no drag whatever) I always prefer the complete clip on my harddrive however so thanks for that. Graemek

Hi Everyone , Hayley was also on the news on tv 3 last night, of course i missed seeing it as i was at work,But my hayley network was workiing. the lady i work with said she had seen that Hayley was to be on the news on TV1.But she did not remember that till after it would have been on. I immediately rang my mother and she said my daughter kim had rang her and she had seen it was to be on Tv3 so we have the Tv 3 footage which is apparently not as good as the TV1 footage ,will see if there anything new on it. Tv one put alot more effort into theirs adding Hayley singing. etc, Belinda

Hi Belinda, Was the little clip we have on our site here from TV1 all that they showed? I sort of thought that they'd made a condensed clip for website viewers & that their NZ TV viewers program was much more extensive. Is it worth asking them if they have more than that Belinda?? It would have been very interesting to have seen more of Hayley's answers during the interview time, good though it was to have the clip that we've all viewed today. Graemek

Many thanks for the video, Dave! I was only able to listen to the sound yesterday, but I downloaded Media Player 9 this morning and it played perfectly. Hayley looked as though she was in a slight state of shock, so perhaps the news hadn't quite sunk in. It must have interrupted her holiday, being called in to the TV studio for the interview, but I'm sure she didn't mind! Best Wishes, Richard

Best Wishes, Richard It's funny you should say that Richard, it's exactly what I thought! I also wondered if Hayley may still have been suffering from jet lag, it can't be easy when your family home is 12,000 miles away from where you work. I once had to work 250 miles from home and do the 500 miles round trip every weekend by car; that was bad enough... but 12,000 miles twice in 9 days? A study I read says that jet lag after an E-W trip this long may not even start to improve until the fifth day... Cheers, Dave

It's a shame they did not show the actually annoucement because the picture in the paper has Hayley eyes open wide mouth wide open and clapping her hands as if shes just heard, Richard I don't think it was an interview as such to begin with,And was probably planned to coincide with her return home,I don't think she would have thought anything of going to the interview announcement,we don't want the nz media to forget about her, Other than that when would they have been able to do it she's not here very often,I'm sure she was pleased to share the occasion with her family.
