I have added the 19 new dates to the tour schedule posted HERE by Richard. Unless I hear to the contrary, I am assuming these dates will feature Meav and not Hayley. Roger |

Bob: Fortunately, Hayley’s sheer brilliance is likely to win over all but the most cynical. As the tour progresses the confusion and surprise of the Meav/Hayley saga will presumably diminish. I do hope they allow Hayley to be Hayley, and not Meav’s stand-in. After all, we’re talking about Hayley Westenra here - The fairest voice in all the land. Bob, Did Hayley meet with fans after the show? Did you see anyone take pixs? My ticket for Pittsburgh sez no cameras, I hope that means with a flash during the show!.....TimJ Just heard from one of the CW Forum folks that only Lisa and Chloe were at the Meet & Greet, and with was pretty much a drive by Meet and Greet as the ladies were pretty tired. No pictures on the Meet & Greets this tour from what I've heard. Lisa's forum has been the lifeboat for CW fans when the Celtic Woman Forum crashes. This site is great - there are a lot of reviews from the last CW concerts. It's also highlighting the fact that most people are hostile to Hayley's presence just because she's replacing Meav. For that reason, only. Fortunately, many of them recognize afterwards that she's indeed a wonderful singer with her own style and personality; which makes her an excellent alternative to Meav. |

Some of us Hayley fans over there felt it was an unfortunate choice to have her sing all Meav's parts as many in the audence were too busy comparing her to Meav to enjoy Hayley's singing based on its own outstanding qualities.

That's unfortunate. Hayley and Meav are two wonderful singers, but extremely different. It would have been wiser to let Hayley be herself. Not that I mean that singing in Gaelic is not Hayley, but it wasn't probably her own decision to sing Dulaman. Same goes for Oronico Flow. Again, I could be wrong. I would love to hear Hayley's comments on singing Meav's songs. Because for CW fans, she's mainly seen as Meav's replacement. Which is a shame, really.

I agree Stephany! I'm sure it was a CW management decision as I believe Hayley would be sensitive to Maev's fans and would have chosen a different direction if allowed to do so, and that perhaps explains the discomfort Bob noticed in her performance. If I were to find someone else singing Hayley's songs when I was expecting Hayley, I wouldn't be very happy at all  For my money it demonstrates a complete lack of tact on behalf of CW management - I just hope it doesn't do more harm than good! No pictures on the Meet & Greets this tour from what I've heard. I read a report on Lisa Kelly's forum[/url] about the Meet & Greet in Boston and it clearly reflects what we've said before. They are not doing meet and Greet photos this year. The meet and greets are basically just a hello and thats about it. They are doing signings at some of the meet and greets but there are no pictures allowed of any kind. In the past they would do pictures and post them on the site at a later time but I guess its too much trouble for them now that they have become so popular. I can understand that.
However in light of the fact that meet and greet is costing anywhere from $300 to $1200 I dont think its worth it unless they do it like they did in Wallingford where they and the ticket holders arent rushed. Thats an ideal way to do it. But the last meet and greet I did in Boston the CW staff wanted to get out of there ASAP. |

Roger It seems very unfair and unreasonable to have to pay such large sums of money for what appears to very little in return. Especially when compared to what Hayley's own fans receive for just the price of the concert ticket!! I know Hayley is enjoying the tour but I bet she doesn't like being kept away from the fans afterwards. More tactlessness from CW management!! Grant |

Reading the reports and interviews so far, I get the impression that Hayley is being pushed around by Celtic Woman's management at the moment. Somehow I don't think she'll put up with it for long, so there could be some changes soon! Best Wishes, Richard |
