Also, you would have to be a very good statistician and have access to sales figures of Celtic Treasure by US State in order to measure the effect of the tour with Hayley. Martin Don't underestimate Dave's ferriting skills here, Martin. I wouldn't be surprised if he could give the name and addresses of everyone who buys the album! Yes, Stephany, it is the experience that Hayley will gain that will be the greatest benefit to her, IMO. Appearing as a part of an ensemble is vastly different to any solo appearance. It was partly because of that that she was looking forward to it so much. Roger

Hi Folks, I get the feeling people are expecting INSTANT GRATIFICATION in terms of "THIS WEEKS" sales figures to be the only result of these concerts.
I believe the long term effect will probably be more significant than the short term one. A concert is seen, a seed has been planted, Not everybody manages to get to a music shop within the week of seeing the concert, they might think they look for the music immediately but in reality it may take four to six weeks or more depending on how busy they are.
Then the ripple effects start, A friend sees your DVD or hears your CD in the car or home or restaurant, A baby sitter plays the DVD or CD.
You only need to see or hear Hayley once, singing The Last rose of Summer with Celtic Woman, if that does not get to you, go back to whatever you were doing beforehand. Many of the people who post here and on the official forum and on the CW forums are taken with Hayley in 20 seconds or less, Die hard rock fans go weak at the knees at the sight and sound of Hayley. I myself have a seriously neglected rock CD collection since I started listening to Hayley, So keep playing Hayley's CDs for your mates, It's just as good a method of promotion as any other...........................
Ohhh **** I just missed an auction on E Bay. ****

Overall, the reviews of Hayley's performance within the group are very positive. Though some of the "hardcore CW fans" noticed she was still perfecting her moves. Quote from a fan who attended the San Diego show (read the original post here).

A fan of Lisa Kelly posted a few pictures of the CW group in San Diego. I reduced the size of the picture featuring Hayley, so if you want to see it in higher resolution, click HERE to see the original post with all the pics. Hayley looks in a very good mood i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifA smile is always a good sign!! Looks like Orlagh and Hayley are friends! They do seem like they would get along well. I was supposed to be at that concert but I had school Eeh, it's alright! I get to see Hayley again in about a week. Wheee. PS. I think Chloe's "pajamas" are funny

PS. I think Chloe's "pajamas" are funny Hey Meesa, *Sigh* I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought about pajamas while watching the photo. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the upcoming show with Hayley. I already can't wait to read your review (no pressure or anything!). Take care, Stephany

I think the main beneficiary from this tour, from Hayley's point of view, will be... Hayley herself! Hi Dave, I also think Hayley needed to experience something different. Touring with Celtic Woman has surely taught her a lot. Not too much for the singing - I'm particularly thinking about the moves and acting ("At the Ceili" is a good example). Working with a group also implies making sure not to mess it all up for everyone else! Best wishes, Stephany Hi Stephany, I was thinking "money" when I wrote that, as you realised. But I do agree with you that the CW tour is a unique experience for Hayley and will be helping her to develop as an artist in ways that her solo performances with il Divo could never do. Yes indeed, Hayley will be benefiting from this tour in many different ways! Cheers, Dave

Hi Stephany, I was thinking "money" when I wrote that, as you realised. Hi Dave, I had understood it and I must admit it first came as a surprise because I wouldn't have thought about money right away. It's just something I tend to forget, I mean the fact that Hayley is singing for a living. But it's great that she can enjoy herself doing it and actually learn from the experience at the same time. Best wishes, Stephany

Hi Stephany, Thank you for your constant updates on Hayley with CW. It is soo hard to realize that she's here in the States, but still sooo far away!! (I'm sure you understand with the whole France-UK thing). I agree with yours and Dave's and Roger's statements regarding the experience, money and lessons that Hayley will benefit from in touring with CW. Though, like you Stephany, I hadn't thought of the money thing. I guess I just assumed all proceeds were split with Decca and Hayley. (That raises a question, which our illustrious Dave may endeavour to answer....what about the "Celtic Treasure" albums? I assume they are bought from Decca and then re-sold at the merchandising table. But then again, there's other stuff, like a beautiful portrait of Hayley herself and keychains. Does Hayley get a portion of that too? ) Either way, I'm sure Hayley enjoys touring with a seemingly fabulous bunch of ladies (also very talented with many tips and pointers). Definitely beats touring solo, IMO. As busy as Hayley is, I think this is definitely a "break" (if you could call it that). At least now, she gets to share the spotlight, the pressure, and laughs, worries, music, etc. with the other ladies. I'm sure she is received a bit better than with il Divo...who treated her "as their little sister." Just my opinion...but it's GREAT to see Hayley healthy, enjoying herself, and constantly winning over hearts everywhere she goes!! Best Wishes, Eric P.S. And might I humbly add that personally, I think this is a very good promotional tool for the US. The best channel, IMHO, would be the radio; however, as mentioned several times before, there are very, VERY few stations dedicated to stuff that Hayley sings. I personally think that she has introduced herself (in her own original "Hayley" way i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gif) to more Americans this way. And I guess the "word of mouth" will have to kick in!

Hello all,
In my opinion Hayley might actually learn a thing or two about singing as well. I think it might be true that she has the best voice of the group (the lady she is replacing is no slouch btw). Nonetheless, there is a lot more to singing than merely hitting the notes with a lovely voice - which is why those presentation skills are taught in conservatory right along with voice.
Oddly, I like all of those girls singing solo more than I do their collaboration....each of them has at least one outstanding strength. One thing about Hayley is that -initial press reports notwithstanding- she hasnt actually had all that much vocal training. There is more than one way to accomplish much the same thing, and there are worse ways to learn than working with other skilled singers.

Many thanks for your efforts in bringing us the reviews from the CW forums, Stephany! It's interesting that Hayley seems to be making a bigger impression with Celtic Woman's fans than she did with Il Divo's, even though I still prefer her in her own concerts. The big difference is that Hayley was only the support act with Il Divo, but with Celtic Woman she's part of the main event, so the fans are paying attention! Best Wishes, Richard

Hi Richard & everyone I agree with you Richard, I was never sure about Hayley playing second fiddle to Il Divo, I just wouldnt have been keen to go to one of those concerts. I am sure that she did aquire many new fans though, which I guess was the object of the exercise. However, I am completely behind the decision for Hayley to gain some exposure via CW, not only because Hayley is part of the main event this time, but because she just fits in so well overall and I love listening to CW as a whole. In my veiw, a much more effective way to promote Hayley in the states Best wishes Mark

The "Hayley Experience" Continues!
Celtic Woman played to another SOLD OUT crowd at the Long Beach Terrace Theater. It is a smaller more intimate venue then the Greek Theater. I have gone to several concerts there and it is by far my favorite place. Well, what can I say, Hayley was as beautiful as ever. She was received very well by the enthusiastic crowd , especially "Scarborough Fair". My cousin referred to her as an "angel". (I think we have another Hayley fan in our midst). As much as I love Celtic Woman, Hayley's presence made it just that more special. "You can tell she is becoming much more comfortable with singing Meav's numbers as well as with the choreography. The song that I really missed however was "Lascia Ch"io Pianga". It is my favorite song of Hayley's and it always brings me to tears.
Well I can truly say that the last 4 days have been an incredible ride, one that I will never forget. (Especially my Crystal Cathedral experience) I am hoping that Hayley will consider doing solo concerts in the U.S. in the future. She can count on me being there.
Geralynn
P.S. Hayley, thanks again for the memories. You truly are a treasure!!!

Hello Geralynn! Thanks for your report from Long Beach. I'm pleased you had a good time seeing our Hayley yet again, and I hope you told your cousin about HWI! i.postimg.cc/9fYxy370/smilie-big-grin.gifIt sounds as though Hayley is really enjoying her time in California with Celtic Woman, and I see they're playing more cities there next week. Best Wishes from London, Richard
