Belinda Hi Belinda, You are a "Live Wire"... I hope it's the early AC/DC you like with Bon Scott on vocals... Bon used to play the bagpipes- you can hear him playing them on the track: 'It's a Long Way to the Top' on the 'High Voltage' album... I have a lot of rare early live AC/DC. Haven't listened to it in a while though... Andrew

Mind you, now that he has moved out I do not listen to them any more. Graeme does not understand their music at all !! I quite got to like Nick's Heavy Metal DVDs...haha. So who is with it ?? Love, Marianne

Hi Marianne, I went through a phase of listening to loads of AC/ DC during my teens... I remember buying the 'Let There Be Rock' cassette and 'Powerage' with some cash which I received for my 16th birthday... (in 1989 ). There's a rather good live album available on the Atlantic record label which was recorded during the 'Powerage' Tour of 1978. In fact this particular album is one whole concert which was recorded in Glasgow at the time. Although some live rock is pretty exciting stuff, I gradually weaned myself off it... as in my opinion most rock music is peppered with negative messages and the "rock n' roll lifestyle" usually catches up with and takes its toll on those who choose to follow it. As you probably know Bon Scott (the former lead vocalist of AC/DC) died when we was only 33 years old - allegedly from alcohol poisoning. I find a lot of peace through listening to classical music these days! A healthy lifestyle such as Hayley's is definitely the way forward too- I believe Hayley can and will continue to influence a lot of people in many positive ways... Andrew

Hi all, One of my more recent musical discoveries has led me to singer Annie Villeneuve, from Québec, Canada. Annie performed at the 2006 Canada Day celebrations, sharing the stage with Aselin Debison. A few of my favorite songs from Annie's first CD.. Un Ange Qui Passe (An Angel Which Passes) Quand Je Ferme Les Yeux (When I Close My Eyes) S'il Fallait (If it were necessary)...duet w/ Annie's sister Suzie Tomber **SPAM? PLEASE REPORT l'eau (To fall in water)... Youtube Videowww.annievilleneuve.mu/discographie.html (French-language site)

Andrew Hi Andrew, well I was looking out for negative influences on Nick when he first started out on Heavy Metal music, but I am very pleased and thankful to report that he has grown into a very responsible fine young man. He has never smoked, drinks very little alcohol and is now engaged to Karen whose daughter Rachel loves Nick and he is very fond of her. He is very keen to be a responsible role model to her. There you go !!! Love, Marianne

Hi Toronado, Thats was fun to watch... I like it... she has a nice voice. I'm amazed at how well she sings with an American accent (on some of her other videos). Peter

Actually, that's because she has lived in either America or England for most of her life, she presently lives in London I believe. She travels back and forth to Japan to promote her work, she must have a lot of frequent flyer miles like Hayley!

Well, this thread started out about what are you listening to. ok, lately I've been listening to mostly Bob Seger's music. I've always liked his music, but about a year ago I started listening to it more and more. It was a shock, then, to find out last fall that he had a new album out and was going on tour. I'm still listening. He's an excellent composer, and has composed music for other rock bands, country bands, and for a number of movies including he helped compose and performed the theme music for Beverley Hills Cop II.
That was the real reason I posted here, but there's another. The person above me has the username Toronado! now, that is not a real Spanish word. As I understand it, that word was invented by G.M. for the name of a new front wheel drive car they were coming out with back in the mid '60s. So, do we have another Olds Toronado owner or fan here? Mark D.

Not to derail the thread much further, I'll just say simply that, yes, I've always been a big Olds fan.
