Well, Libby, it has done it again this week. 558 Hits/Day. There has been a big surge in hits from New Zealand which is now top country. I think we can guess why.....

Similar trend over at hwivid, though if you go back more than 3 days, UK is still top in relative popularity, with those two well ahead of the rest.
When you look at absolute numbers though, things are a bit different of course. I don't have the Youtube absolutes to hand but on the website, the top Countries for the last week in actual visits are:
33.33% United Kingdom
20.32% United States
9.72% Italy
5.14% New Zealand
3.24% Japan
3.10% Australia
3.01% Canada
2.04% Germany
2.04% Hong Kong
1.53% Netherlands
In the long-term, the US is just ahead of the UK's percentage so there's a boost in the UK at present.

My chanel is now up to 635 Hits/day over the last 2 weeks. It just goes upo and up, and if this is a reflection of interest in Hayley, as it should be, it is very encouraging.
Top countries are
1. UK
2. New Zealand
3. USA
4. Japan
5. Taiwan

This week we are averaging 697 hits a day, just 3 short of the magic 700. A big blip for Sunday/Monday. I think her appearance at the World Cup is having its effect. Top 5 countries still the same, but different order with Japan at No. 1 (which surprised me).
Ave Maria is still my most popular video, followed by "I Dreamed a Dream" from Kings Lynn. Her eyes really sparkle in that one I noticed - almost like Merlin for those who have seen that TV series! Seems to be some sort of reflection of the lighting in her eyes, but looks like her eyes are flashing. It is even more noticable on the originals, which are better quality than after its been mucked about with by YouTube.

Still on the rise. 10,653 views in the last 2 weeks, average 761 per day. Highest popularity (weighted for population) is in New Zealand, followed by Japan, USA, Taiwan and the UK.
I hope it's not "blind and insane" (out of sight, out of mind) in the UK. Hopefuly the new Andre Rieu album will make a difference.

WOW! We did it. A 2 week average of over 1000 hits/day for the first time ever!
Well, 1041 per day to be precise.
Unfortunately UK has dropped out of the top 5 countries for the first time ever though.
It's probably that "Blind and insane (out of sight, out of mind) again. Although that doen't seem to apply in the USA, which is the top country in terms of popularity (ie percentage of total YouTube hits).

Hi Martin D, That's not the case with the hwivid channel stats, the UK is (as it usually is) second in both regional popularity and total views, over the last two weeks. In total views, it's currently the US then the UK then Japan then Germany (the last is a surprise!). Japan is almost level with the UK! Don't ask me why, but it just shows how hard it is to draw conclusions from our YT stats.  Cheers, Dave |

Yes indeed. But I have seen a resurgence of the chistmas relalted music on there. In the USA top song is now "O Holy Night".
My top countries are

I agree about Germany - seems to be an upsurge in interest there.

Another record for the last 2 weeks - 1389 Hits/day. That's nearly one a minute! And ten times what I was getting six months ago!
It is interesting to think that these videos reach a many times larger audience than was present at the concert itself. They are well worth making and uploading for that reason.
All you other actual and potential video photographers take note! I had never expected so much interest, or so many positive comments when I uploaded them. The reason for that of course is Hayley. It is a privilege to be able to share her performances, and I am pleased that they are enjoyed by so many.

Another update. We have cracked the one a minute. 1488 per day over the last 2 weeks. 1260/day over the last 30 days. YouTube have changed/are chaning the way they do the stats. The old software is available for a limited time.
Top country is now Taiwan - I wonder why.
Second is Japan, followed by USA, New Zealand and the UK.
Haven't yet worked out how to get this information (weighted by population) from the new stats software. If anybody knows, please tell me.

Hi Martin D, For the last 2 weeks, hwivid has the following Countries in the top ten of total Views: US UK Japan Germany Taiwan Australia Canada NZ Netherlands France Japan is close behind the UK, Taiwan is close behind Germany. In Regional Popularity, it's: NZ UK Taiwan US Australia Japan Netherlands Germany Ireland Canada Good to see Ireland in there.  I don't like the new Analytics, it makes it hard to get your entire Views history beyond one year, and there is no Regional Popularity (as you observed). We should report that to Google - I will. HWIVid is currently getting three times the number of views it did at the same time last year - yes there are more videos but the Views increase is proportionally much greater than the videos increase. Well, it seems Analytics is something we have to live with. I commented on the omissions too.
The current news is that the hits on my channel have fallen back a bit since the peak of 2,610 achieved on Christmas Eve. It dropped back to around 600 per day in January, but since then it is increasing again, and the current average over the last 30 days is 758/day. This is still a lot better than it was before the run up to Christmas.
Top countries, based on total hits (they don't do regional popularity any more) was
1. Japan
2. USA
3. Germany
4. UK
5. France
6. Poland
7. Taiwan
8. Italy
9. Canada
10. South Korea
